KATANI DHABA, Sector 35-D Chandigarh — Restaurant in Chandigarh

Way back in 2010, when I first Visited Chandigarh, I stayed at a hotel in the Sector 35 B. After having a bad lunch at the hotel I stayed, I enquired about the nearby eateries, when I came to know about this little place in the Market Area of 35D. On first visit, I was blown away by the dishes served, as I still could remember emptying the whole bowl of the Curry ordered all by myself. We don't regularly eat the Roti, in our diet, as we prefer rice over the former. This place is famous for it's authentic Punjabi style Meal/ Thali, Paneer Dishes made from Cottage Cheese, Recipes of Dal cooked in Butter and spices, and a wide Variety of Roti/ Indian Bread cooked in a Clay Oven. Every year, I visit Chandigarh twice, or even more and I ensure that in my each visit, that this place is in my must to go list. It's been 8 years since, the place is now modified accordingly with adequate lighting and clean utensils, but one thing never changed, was the Quality of food, which is as is the taste that was sensed by my taste buds the first time of my visit. You may be aware of numerous clubs in Chandigarh sector 35, but there are also a few really good dhabas in the sector that can make the night lit. Another veg-only Chandigarh dhaba, Katani Dhaba is situated in sector 35 in Chandigarh. Amidst all the noisy and crowded party clubs in Chandigarh stands this quiet and a very famous dhaba feeding the hungry population of Chandigarh. Focusing well on quality and not on quantity, Katani Dhaba has done really well for itself despite the limited seatings. To taste true Punjabi food, there is no place better than the Katani Dhaba.
