Aap Ki Pasand Tea Gallery (India's Oldest Gourmet Tea Store), Sancha Tea — Restaurant in Delhi

To anyone contemplating order tea directly from India and wondering if it is (a) truly worth it, and (b) will ever arrive after giving out your credit card details, then take it from me, you have nothing to worry about. I decided to "take a chance" after being given some of Aap Ki Pasand's amazing tea in a beautiful silk gift bag from an Indian doctor friend resident in California. I thought "WTH" nothing to lose but a few bucks and if it works out then great, and if not chalk it up to life's experience. Result? GREAT!!!! I ordered two lots; one for me in California and one for family in the UK. Online ordering was simple (but slightly complicated by having two delivery addresses and single US-based credit card address - although easily "managed" with a covering e-mail and absolutely no complications) and within very short order our respective packages arrived almost simultaneously by airmail, wrapped in a sort of calico packaging and within each of the several quarter pound sample loose tea packets beautifully presented in little silk purses. A delightful little cozy store in the heart of Daryaganj, where you're welcomed with the warm fragrance of exotic teas. The collection is wide, housed in shelves of cute tin packs. Take your time sampling the smell and flavors of these teas, and choose with care. The manager is rather helpful, and he wouldn't hesitate to suggest you one of his more loved flavors, if you ask him. But what's best is that you can taste the teas before you buy a new variety. The set up is very elegant and their collection is elaborate, suited to all kinds of tea lovers, they work with minimal staff and are very professional, no discounts offered and their pricing was very high
