✨Shahi Tukda a.k.a. Double ka meetha is one of the most popular desserts made during Ramzan. It hails from the streets of Hyderabad! I remember having it during the Ramzan in Puran Dilli and falling in love with it instantly.
✨The texture of the fried bread slices melted well with the creamy sweetness that was loaded with dry fruits and saffron! It is the richness and purity of this dessert that makes it a beautiful one! And so I tried making it at home time and again❤️💯

Navigating the labyrinthine lanes of Chandni Chowk can be an adventure in itself, especially when searching for a specific eatery. Cool Point Shahi Tukda is one such destination, albeit with a slight twist: multiple shops with the same name exist within a few meters of each other. While I can't guarantee I visited the "original," the Shahi Tukda I savored was undeniably delicious.
This street food stall offers a limited menu, primarily focused on their namesake dessert. The Shahi Tukda, a decadent bread pudding soaked in sweet milk and adorned with nuts and saffron, is as visually appealing as it is flavorful. The portion size is generous, making it perfect for sharing (or indulging in solo).
However, a word of caution for those visiting during the sweltering Delhi summers: this dessert is best enjoyed in cooler weather. The richness and sweetness can be a bit overwhelming in the heat, making it a more suitable treat for winter evenings.
While the lack of seating and the chaotic atmosphere of Chandni Chowk might not appeal to everyone, Cool Point Shahi Tukda is worth a visit for its delicious dessert and the experience of immersing yourself in the vibrant street food scene. Just be sure to pick the right shop – or perhaps try them all for a...
