I have been seeing this place for well over a month now on my regular commute to and fro Malviya Nagar. Situated at the main Shivalik road, just after the main traffic signal, it is pretty easy to spot. However, that also acts as a big negative for any place located on this road as there are massive issues with parking your vehicle.
I wanted to try the flat white, which was decent, to be frank, but at Rs.249/-, it was super expensive, atleast for my pocket. At a time when brands like Blue Tokai are serving their coffee (flat white, in this case) at Rs.190/-, I saw no point in paying 60 bucks more and specifically going here.
The ambience seemed pretty dead to me, frankly, and the staff was least interested in any kind of conversation, whatsoever. First, I wanted to take a seat inside, but it kind of seemed dead to me; the inside space that is. With an empty shelf that was being cleaned, it wasn't something that made a positive impact as a first time customer.
I mean, there is something a little off about the place. I didn't try the food, because I was specifically there to try their coffees, and wanted to start with the flat white, but I soon guessed, I might very well go back to my flat white from BT.
Nothing against this place, it's just that, if someone wants to sit inside, the first impression that he/ she gets is more of a local kind of a general store vibes, than a proper coffee shop/ cafe. That empty shelf is such an eye-sore. 😑 I genuinely wanted to like this place, but the non-chalant behaviour of the staff, the not so vibrant vibes pretty much sealed the coffin for me.
The flat-white was 'different' and I pretty much enjoyed it while it lasted, minus the 250 bucks I had...
Read moreWent with some high expectations which fell flat. Add to the misery, they were undergoing some renovations. We started with Aglio E Olio which was a nice start. But then I will also be shocked if someone messes up with something as simple as this. Here, Coffee is what disappointed me. It lacked the intensity and flavour you expect from a Coffee from a Coffee Shop. Plus, adding Chocolate syrup to Cold Coffee is a typical desi act and is a big no no for a speciality coffee shop. That can be done as an add on when any customer asks for it but shouldn't be a regular thing. Had a Half n Pizza which was Cilantro and Chicken Pepperoni and it was below average, just tasted bad and nothing special about it at all. No complaints with the service though! But Delhi easily has better coffee available...
Read moreCOCKROACHES! we went there for a nice evening snack, we were halfway through our pizza and suddenly A COCKROACH COMES CRAWLING!
It was under the plate. And as soon as i picked up the plate, there was another one! At this point, we were too disgusted and decided to leave. The owner and the staff did not even have the courtesy to say sorry and when we asked for the bill, they charged us the full amount without hesitation and apology. Our evening ruined. We paid and left.
Don't just opt for places based on aesthetic, as we did. Hygiene is also important, which was negligent in this...
