Cafe Delhi Heights — Restaurant in Delhi

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent experiences at the Delhi Heights Café in the Janakpuri Unity Mall branch. Unfortunately, this is the second time I've encountered issues at this location.

Last year, my sister and I visited and ordered the chai combo with pakoras. The pakoras were not fresh and had an unpleasant smell. Despite my complaint, the staff made excuses and did not acknowledge the issue. They did offer a complimentary dish as compensation, which I accepted at the time.

Today, I visited with my mother and ordered garlic bread and kebabs. While the garlic bread was good, the kebabs had a sour taste and an off-putting smell. When I raised this issue, I was told it was due to an excess of kewra water, which was clearly an inadequate excuse as kewra water is known for its sweet aroma, not a sour taste.

Offering a complimentary dish every time does not resolve the underlying problem. Delhi Heights has been one of my favorite cafes, but experiencing these issues at the same outlet twice is concerning. I want to ensure that the food served is always fresh, especially when I am with my family.

It is embarrassing to recommend a place to loved ones only to find it does not meet expectations. I am not looking for complimentary dishes or price waivers. I simply want to enjoy fresh, quality food during my visits. I hope that my next visit to this café will be a much better experience.

We’ve been visiting Cafe Delhi Heights at Unity One, Janakpuri quite frequently since the beginning of this year, and until our last visit, we had never had a bad experience. The food, the service, and the vibe here have always been consistently good — one of the reasons we keep coming back.

Last time, we faced a rare issue with food quality, and while I wasn’t sure what to expect this time, I was really craving their Street Style Hakka Noodles, Potato Wedges, and freshly Squeezed Juices.

To my surprise, Mr. Anuj went out of his way and personally ensured we were looked after. In fact, as a gesture of goodwill for our previous experience, he waived off our entire bill — even though we insisted multiple times on paying. It’s rare to see this level of customer care these days.

There are many restaurants that may not even acknowledge feedback — and then there is Cafe Delhi Heights, which not only listens but genuinely values its patrons. This gesture reinforced why this place remains one of our favorites.

Kudos to the entire team — great food, great people, and an even greater attitude towards hospitality. Looking forward to many...

Just found this place 2 days ago and I have been there twice. Great ambiance, friendly service:( Nisha, a smiling face), excellent menu from various regions. So far I have had Po...ah(!!) traditional style and Americano coffee. Chef was approachable. A good man. During my meal i was asked by my server Nisha and another server if I enjoyed the dish and all was good? That’s a professional service, touching a table during meal. I have been eating at Haldiram since almost a month, good thou, but if I’d known about Delhi Heights, wud have been eating here a lot...!😉 A professional advice: your menu (laminated) should/ must be displayed on a window where ppl walk towards the mall or going to Metro. That wud be 1 way of promoting your bznss. As the doors r locked at the main walk-way, a menu display on a window or a strong metal stand wud be good enuf for ppl to browse and be attracted to Delhi Heights! Just a thought! I come once a year from NY, and this is a great find in my neighborhood, which I have already boasted on my FB page. Stay different! Stay distinct! Wish you great bznss...
