What can I write about the atmosphere of a Tea shop that can seat 6 people at best?

Answer is... "Electric" - if I have to talk about Chalti Chai!

Spent a great half hour with my partner.

Had piping hot kulhad chais. Bun maska. Met a wonderful Delhi couple and chatted our hearts out.

Perfectly what we do over a cup of chai!

Located in a lane of Lajpatnagar market, with three of the 6 seats occupying the so called footpath, this is the quintessential Indian place where we can have Tea in its real sense.

The place lost a star in food because the bun maska they served appeared to have been made using stale butter, but they promptly changed it.

The spread was good with cakes, buns, doughnuts, patties, Kulhad Maggi, shakes, burgers, sandwiches etc etc.

But a gentle warning to the managers, a few more instances of sub standard food and the ratings can dive very fast!! So keep the high standards intact!!!

You cannot miss this place if you take your cup of Chai seriously! Chalti is a Government of India recognized Startup, brainchild of Mr. Mukesh Setia (Founder) & Mr. Sanjay Kataria (Co-Founder). Most of the brownies that you get in the market are too sweet and it's not possible for everyone to enjoy them but that's not the case here. I had their chocolate brownie and it's one of the best brownies I have ever had. It's baked properly and has the right amount of sugar and I loved it a lot. Excited to try their other snacks as well since all of them look so fresh and scrumptious. Also, the staff is very nice here and they are dedicated and passionate about what they do and that reflects in their preparation and their service. Can't wait to try more items on their menu.
