I usually do not post a review of I don't like something about a place but this is necessary. After seeing multiple photos and videos of their dosa on Instagram, we wanted to cover their food and in a span of a week , co incidentally we happened to cross the restaurant thrice.
Our first visit was disappointing on account of the crowd gathered there, we reached around 10:30 PM in the night, the place was crowded and the owner refused to accept any further order since he had a backlog of orders and he claims to be close the place by 11. So it was disappointing but understandable.
The second visit we managed to had a table outside and taste their dosa, undoubtedly it was a good preparation. So we ensured to cover it for our Instagram handle.
The next day we returned early in the evening to click & shoot for our handle, we ordered 2 dosas in olive oil as they claim and wanted to shoot the video. I asked the guy who took our order initially he said go ahead, later the cashier said please check with the owner.
The owner is a very arrogant man, he said no you cannot shoot. We explained that we run a food handle on Instagram and even showed the other videos of his place on it, but the owner was like I don't know all this, I said you won't shoot so you won't shoot. The man doesn't know how he should talk to his customers and secondly there isn't a unique recipe that he is preparing , if at all there is something secret why are you doing it outside the shop rather do it inside the kitchen.

Read moreThis shop has 131 variety but trust me, the sambhar is pathetic. It does not even taste as sambhar. People do try different dosas here out of curiousity but that is it. For water, they use plastic glass, take it to water dispenser, fill it up and put it on your table. Don't even use jugs? Com'on. If u need good satisfactory service, it is better to go there before 8:30 on weekdays and 8 on weekend. Although the waiting, normally is not more than 10-15 mins. I can bet if you go in evening, they will not be able to serve you fresh idli or Vadas. Note:- they just heat up the vada on tawa and serve, due to which you can feel too much oil on it. Idlis are average but sambhar makes the combination, bad. Staff is mostly south indian so they are decent. I would prefer Sarvana Bhawan in CP over it.
Ambience 3 Taste: Dosa - 3.5 Idli - 3 Vada - 2.5 Sambhar - 1
Service:- 3 Location: 3 (on busy road - specially avoid on tuesdays)
Lucky they, I did not try anything else.
If I go there, it will be just to try there other dosa variety, nothing else will...
Read more4 stars, not 5. Important note: Have some spare time if you want to eat good South India Food. If you're in hurry, you might not get sitting space inside and might have to eat on standing tables outside shop, on the road. Believe me, ambience makes a huge difference. There taste is good, not original South India but surly better than a lot of North India "South Indian Food Corners". I liked their sambhar, not so spicy and hot as desired. Also, there service is decent, I asked for extra chutney and sambhar; same was served in 2-3 minutes. We ordered Mysore Masala Dosa and Butter Masala Dosa, Mysore Masala was actually nowhere close to Mysore Masala Dosa but we still liked the taste of it. You'll find a lot of Szechwan (Spicy) Dosas. Any other query, pls feel free to ask and like if you find my...
