An awesome chole bature I have never tasted before .An authentic Punjabi style food served so hot .Bature, the fried bread is fluffy inside like a hot bakery bun is served on a Arecanut disposable plate. The side dish spicy chick peas- Chole ,Punjabi Green chilli chutney ,Onion sprinkled with red chilli make this a good combination. Ginger cut in long segments soaked in chole tastes differently awesome. You don't feel the heaviness after having one set of Chole bature and a Meeti lassi . Chole bature costs Rs 100 and Lassi at Rs 50 also is worth a sip. Of course this shop does not have any seating arrangements where there are only two tables that could accommodate max 12 person to stand and eat in this outlet. I could not feel any heaviness in my stomach after eating such food. An Age old shop at the street corner does not have much space for any scope of improvement. Has a very good customer base because of the consistent quality . Moreover we were informed that our Cricketer Virat Kohli used to make frequent visits to this shop during...
ย ย ย Read moreFirst thing first, DO NOT GO IN A CAR, instead use an e-rickshaw. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO PLACE TO PARK THE CAR and that road is an ABSOLUTE CHAOS.
Famous for its chhole bhature, I tried it for the first time and I really liked it, although Tilak Nagar is blessed with some really great food outlets which serve tasty food and this is one of them.
The service is quick but NO SEATING AVAILABLE. You will have to stand and eat or take it in your car if you have taken it there ( No PARKING BOARDS EVERYWHERE so please be mindful of the challan that may be looking your way).
The bhature is crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, the taste of the chhole was good too, MOST IMPORTANT is that there was not a hint of Soda being added which is hard to find in small road side eateries, and is usually evident in larger quality chains like Haldiram.
If you're in Delhi and nearby Tilak Nagar, you can keep this outlet as an option to eat with your family and friends.

ย ย ย Read moreToday unfortunately I had a chance to visit Rama chhole bhature at Jail road alongwith my family. No hygienic environment was there. People were working barehanded inside the shop and flies were everywhere. Although there was rush but I was surprised to see that the owner was shouting on people as he could not manage the rush as it was the day of Diwali. People were standing silently in que as if they were getting their food in free. One plate of chhole bhature costing Rs 90/-. One more thing only parcel /packing was there, he is not allowing you to have your food there. In that rush people were not getting their food in right quantity as I noticed that people were coming back and complaining about missing food items. In that scenario I went to nearby shop Nandkishor Di Hatti which was just 4-5 shops away. Thanks God. That shop was newly opened and managed by a lady. Amazing taste & service and costing Rs 80 for paneer wala...
