Haldiram's- Chattarpur — Restaurant in Delhi

I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment with the experience I had today at this outlet(Haldiram-Chattarpur) , which has severely affected my trust in the Haldiram’s brand.

I visited your restaurant with my 7-year-old daughter and ordered one Special Thali costing ₹404. At the time of ordering, the cashier informed me that it would take 30 minutes due to crowd. I agreed and waited patiently.

After half an hour, the thali was served — but to our shock, the quantity was extremely poor:

Paneer gravy had just one small piece of paneer

Dal was insufficient

Mix veg quantity was also minimal

I approached the counter to raise my concern. One of the staff members admitted that the paneer was over, and the cashier had taken too many orders despite being told to hold. He assured me that the cook was preparing paneer and it would be served to us in 5 minutes at our table. We waited, but no one came even after 10 minutes.

I then approached the manager, Mr. Abhishek, and asked why orders were being taken without sufficient food prepared. He admitted that extra orders had caused a shortage and promised that he would serve the paneer to our table shortly.

Again, no one came for the next 15 minutes.

By this time, the roti and rice in our thali had gone cold. I went to the counter again to ask for the manager, and I found him sitting and scrolling through his phone. When I confronted him, he blatantly denied having any conversation with me and refused to acknowledge his earlier commitment. His behavior was rude, unprofessional, and extremely disappointing.

Eventually, I had no choice but to leave the entire meal uneaten and exit the restaurant — with a very bad taste in my mouth and a hungry child beside me.

This is unacceptable for a brand like Haldiram’s that is trusted by families for quality food and service. The incompetence of the staff, especially the manager Mr. Abhishek, and the complete lack of responsibility and customer care,...

Our recent dining experience at Haldiram's Chhatarpur Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service from the staff. Their courteous behavior made us feel right at home.

The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and cozy, perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends. The menu offered a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors and made with the freshest ingredients.

We had the pleasure of trying their Raj Kachori, Rasgulla, Rasmalai, and Vada Pav, and each dish was an absolute delight! The Raj Kachori was packed with delicious fillings and topped with tangy chutneys, while the Rasgulla and Rasmalai were incredibly soft and soaked in sweet syrup. The Vada Pav was perfectly spiced but the Pav was a bit hard to chew apart from that everything was flawless.

What truly set this dining experience apart was the attentiveness of the staff. They were always on hand to cater to any request and went above and beyond to ensure that we had an unforgettable meal.

STINKY TOILET ALERT. Firstly, I'm a big fan of Haldiram's. But.. If you're a customer of the kind who is grossed out by the environment of the place even though the food is amazing, then please DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE. I was staying in Chhatarpur for a week or so, and Haldiram's was the only nearby pure veg restaurant available, so I happened to visit there at least once every day. Food was mostly awesome but one day after having my food, I went to the restroom and it was so stinky that I instantly felt like puking. Another bad experience was that one fine day I ordered a Mix Veg Rice bowl in the afternoon and again I ordered a Veg Deluxe thali on the same night and guess what? The vegetable served in my dinner thali was exactly the same that was there in my mix-veg rice bowl in the afternoon . Which means they are serving stale food ..I felt like I was cheated on, it's a huge disappointment from a big brand like Haldiram's. Anyway I know the brand is too big to be affected by this review, still I would keep trying to grab their attention towards a bare minimum requirement for any restaurant, and that is the customer's access to a clean toilet.
