3/5 - Sticky seats, Misleading advertising boards, small store.

We visited the parlor while it was a rainy day in March, perfect for driving post ice cream. So for ice cream, we stopped at this parlor.

First thing we noticed - the board prices - "Starting from Rs..." Since the words are smaller than text, we were misled into believing the products were less costly than they should be.

We ordered 1 cone with 2 flavours, 1 Cassata Sundae & 1 kesar pista shake to take with us, & got a complementary vanilla ice cream scoop.

The ice cream were great & the products were alright. What i had issues with is - #1 less sitting space (only 4-5 stools) #2 even those stools had sticky ice cream layer, which wasn't visible, so we sat & got to know our clothes were stained later #3 misleading prices. Since we saw different prices, we might've ordered a bit extra, the bill came out to be approx Rs 650, which is too much for 2 people eating only ice creams. The cassata sundae alone was of Rs270's, even as the board on which it was written, says something like - "starting from Rs90"

The ice cream was alright, it was these problems which i found non-tolerable. An outlet located at such a place can't afford to be unclean with sticky seats.

I'd advise against going, until the staff learns more about customer management & gives...

Havmor Ice Cream Parlour is located in Hauz Khas on the main Sri Aurobindo Marg near Cozy Restaurant. Two more ice cream parlours: Giani and Naturals are also located near by amongst which Havmor ice cream is popular. Few people most of the times goes only for Giani. Mother Dairy is also located in the corner but generally not observed by many. Across the road, in Aurobindo Place Market, one can also enjoy ice cream from Nirulas. Off late this place is developed as an ice cream hub which during evenings found crowded. Limited free parking is available and guard on duty used to help. We took the cookie, cream and brownie ice cream which was great to eat (better than naturals...actually I think I'm bored of naturals) but the quantity was too little and the staff was absolutely brutal in not listening to any of our requests.. I always judge an eating joint by the way they give tissues which is the reason for the 1 star..the tissues were bad quality and not kept on the table, instead you have to ask the staff for a tissue and he'd only give you "1" tissue with a look saying "dare you ask for another one". Wish they'd realise that it's the consumers market and not 1944 anymore! (1944 was the year...
