Kofuku located in Ansal plaza mall, ground floor. Went for a dinner, we were 5 people in total. Review for the same is as below:
Ambiance: The mall itself is not that great but the restaurant once you in it is quit nice and ambiance gives a authentic Japanese experience. We were 5 people and got the cabin with floor sitting. The same was a good decision and the experience was very nice. You have to take off your shoes to sit in the cabin.
Service: The Staff is very helpful and polite. They recommended few dishes which were really spot on. The table has a device on which you can press and get service. Service is fast.
Drinks: We had beer kingfisher ultra they have only big bottles, enso whiskey which was nice and in soft drinks coke and ginger ale. In mock tails we also tried the guava jalapeño sting which was nice.
Food: We tried a lot of things Starters: HORENSO SALAD which is spinach salad it comes as a sushi shaped but you need to use the chopstick to open it up, it was ver nice.
SPICY EDAMAME, this is one of my favourite dishes as it goes so well with beer.
AVOCADO CARPACCIO, this is veg avocado dish for me this was not too great the textures of avocado is too soft as per me.
YAKI GYOUZA - PORK, this was super yummy the gyozas were juicy and filled with flavour. A good pick as per me.
TOFU STEAK, this dish was veg and I usually don’t like tofu, but this dish was very tasty. A definite try, we liked it so much we ordered another portion of it with main course.
CRISPY PRAWN CHEUNG FUNG, this was one of the best dishes we had. The prawn was yummy and texture was crunchy and juicy. This is a definite try if you visit this place.
GRILLED ASPARAGUS PORK, the dish was decent though I didn’t find anything wrong with it but the portion size of it was a bit small as per me.
In the main course we ordered:
YASAI CHAHAN - VEG, which is basically Japanese fried rice, we ordered another portion of tofu steak with it.
TEPPAN YAKI FRIED RICE PRAWNS, as the name suggests this was tasty and the prawns were really a good option.
KAKUNI PORK, this was pork belly with a bit of gravy covered with a fried egg on top. It was a nice dish. The food overall was very nice and authentic.
Cost: Our meal for 5 costed us 10,250INR which turns out to be 2000 per person for the experience and quality of food and service was ok as per me. This amount also included service charge and cost for alcohol 2 big bottles of beer and one small whiskey.
Overall a good place to experience Japanese food. Do make reservations if you want to get the cabin sitting which elevates the...
Read moreMy city bank contacted me this morning ( 24 july ) that my card was cloned. So I contacted the last Kobuko restaurant. The last place I used the card was Kobuko, so I asked him to check it out. The boss told me without saying he was sorry Are not you stolen? We are not wrong.
so I check out Kobuko's card machines and staff. I did Their Asics Bank and HDFC Bank are no problem. Your card seems to have a problem. I replied. And I did not say sorry.
so Why do not you say sorry? I am in a very uncomfortable situation because the card is now stopped. I asked you to make a question, not to take responsibility for it. So why do not you ask me if I made a mistake and tell me what to do?
After writing the card at the end of the Kobuko diary, Even though I told him that the card was stalled and was inconvenient now I am sorry to say that it is not a problem of Kobuko without saying.
It's not anyone's fault. It is problem of coping.
You have to apologize and check and take steps to make sure that no one else like me is missing.
By the way They say it is not their fault. I have to say sorry after a long time.
I do not think this is a good restaurant.
I am not Not I'm sorry I'll check. I will take...

All foodies be it vegetarians or non vegetarians can have a go at all the myriad options to dine. The service is impeccable and everything from the bar service, mixing of alcohol, food preparation and decor, plating and taste, table service etc is top class. The carpacios are to die for including the nigiris, sashimis and kakuni pork belly. Their hotpots can feed upto four people who love a good steaming broth with your favourite vegetables/tofu or all kinds of seafood, red and white meat options. One should experiment with their special cocktails especially the Red Cherry Sakura and try out their desserts such as the green tea ice cream. The washroom is located outside the restaurant in the same complex. I would recommend you to make a reservation so that you get to sit inside the traditionally curated stalls inside the restaurant. Other seating options include regular seating within the restaurant which is a bit cramped especially if you come in a group...
