Rating: 3.5/5 UK Traveller Perspective:
Café Milkind is a visually lovely spot tucked away in Greater Kailash, with beautifully curated decor and a warm, calming ambience. When we arrived, the place was empty, so we had the whole café to ourselves—definitely a peaceful escape from the city buzz. The soft jazz music in the background really added to the charm. There are two separate seating areas, which gives a nice touch of variety depending on your mood.
The menu had some interesting offerings, though the overall range felt a bit limited, especially for a café that presents itself as fancy. I was particularly disappointed that there weren’t more vegan options—my vegan friend struggled to find something suitable. For a modern café in such a progressive area, I expected better inclusivity when it comes to dietary choices.
Service-wise, the staff were polite but seemed a little unclear on the menu. For example, one dish supposedly came with fries, but they initially told me I had to pay extra. It was only after reading the fine print that this was cleared up. So there’s room for improvement in how well the staff understand and communicate the menu details.
The prices were undeniably steep. I understand we’re in GK, so premium pricing is expected, but for the portion sizes and overall experience, it felt a bit excessive. The flavors were decent—not mind-blowing—but this seems like the kind of place you visit for a light bite and a fancy coffee rather than a full meal.
One thing that stood out (or rather, didn’t) was the café’s mission. They claim that each coffee supports equality, but there was no real explanation of how. No brochures, no posters, not even a QR code to learn more. It felt like a vague slogan rather than a tangible cause. As someone who values justice and clarity, I would have appreciated transparency about what they’re actually doing to promote equality. The irony is that if your prices exclude the average person, the message of equality starts to feel more like champagne activism than real change.
All that said, the ambience, music, and decor are lovely. If you’re in the mood for a quiet date or want to impress someone with a fancy setting, this could be the spot. Just don’t come expecting affordable prices or a deep social mission—at...
Read moreThis cafe is like my ex. Cute but complex. Good things first, just how dating feels like, • soothing jazz music that doesn’t get in middle of the conversation. • beautiful ambience, so easy on the eyes you could melt. • a select menu but the avocado toast with chicken ham tasted like heaven.
Problems to address right away: • if pasta exists on the menu, I don’t see why keep only ONE SINGLE pasta option. • cashless and payment in advance: this feels like a cafe a person would sit in on a date, keep ordering stuff and wouldn’t want to be disturbed till the very end. But the experience I had was quite the opposite. First the waiter took my order and repeated it, waited for me to sit down and asked me to pay right away. I said let me get my cash, I came back in only for him to tell me it was cashless and only cards and Paytm was accepted. Then once I say down, he came to my table to hand me the bill, then continued with, “Sir screenshot dedo...
Read moreI recently had the hazelnut cheesecake and hot chocolate at Milkind and it was heavenly.
The hazelnut cheesecake was simply divine. The creamy cheesecake filling was perfectly balanced with the rich, nutty flavor of the hazelnuts. The crust was buttery and crisp, providing a delicious contrast to the smooth filling. It was clear that the dessert had been crafted with care and attention to detail.
And the hot chocolate was the perfect accompaniment to the cheesecake. The rich, velvety cocoa was just the right temperature, and the addition of whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa powder made for an extra decadent treat. The result was a hot chocolate that was both comforting and indulgent.
Overall, Milkind has figured out the perfect combination of flavors and textures and I can't wait to go...
