Read moreI had one of the worst dining experiences at this so-called Thakali kitchen. Starting with the food – I specifically complained about the potatoes being raw, only to be patronizingly told they were “kathmaray aloo.” I'm well-versed in traditional Nepali dishes, and that was just a sad attempt to cover up poor cooking. Raw is raw ,don’t try to dress it up with a fake explanation.
The staff behavior was just as disappointing. They blatantly ignored people based on the kind of order placed – clearly picking and choosing who deserved attention. To make it worse, they were blatantly disrespectful. I spoke in Nepali, and the staff immediately switched to Hindi just by seeing my face, yet continued speaking Nepali to others who "looked" the part. I even saw them speaking Nepali to customers with Mongolian features. If you're going to stereotype your guests, maybe don’t run a restaurant that claims to represent Nepali culture.
As for the food portions – a complete rip-off. The menu said the dish would have four pieces of chicken. They brought only two and when questioned, they casually said “oh, the pieces are big so we just gave two.” Excuse me? That’s not how a menu works.
Overall, the experience was frustrating and insulting. Between the undercooked food, poor service, discriminatory behavior, and outright lies, this place was a disaster. Avoid at all costs.

Read moreVery disappointed with the kind of service they provide in the restaurant, actually I should say worse services i have ever experienced among thakali restaurant. Definitely I will not recommend this restaurant, food was okay but serving staff they were busy chatting and eating rather than attending table. Normally in every thakali restaurant the servers are more attentive compared to other food service. For last ten years the every thakali restaurant I have visited they have tendency to ask in the middle of your meals if we need anything as the portion of thali is very minimal, but this restaurant no one came to the table, I felt like they were avoiding. Moreover, I haven’t seen hand washing station, but that is okay if they provide finger bowls as alternative, but that too they provided pre meal and after no one bother to serve us anything, so I have to wiped with the napkins as you know thakali is always eaten with your bare hands rather than cutlery. After meals I went to settle the bills and I asked cashier about the owner of the restaurant, she simply said they don’t live here. So then I said to myself no wonder why staff were busy chit chat, eating instead of attending the customers. This will be my last stepping in this restaurant, if you are reading my feed back then I will urge you to choose thakali restaurant wisely and again I will definitely not recommend you. Ps. I have...
