Sandoz Restaurant - Jail Road — Restaurant in Delhi

Food is great. Problem is with service staff which is outside the restaurant. The sardarji who is noting the the name and number of people for table booking

They say it’s first come first serve basis but they fail badly when it comes to management. I went there on 15th august and had no problem waiting for my turn which was supposed to be called serial wise as per the list. We were 8 people and 4 senior citizens included. We had to wait for more than an hour outside Sandoz restaurant for more than 1 hour.

Reason - the guy was not able to manage and was sending people before us into the restaurant who came after us He was sending groups of 4, 5, and 2 people and was citing reason table for 8 is still not empty??

Then how does FIFO works ?? If table for 8 was not empty he could have combined 2 tables of 4!! We advised the same to him but he was reluctant to do that.

We where 20th on list of serial number And I could see people with number 38th on list being given entry into restaurant.

The guys attitude was also quite rude with us and few other guest as well Same can be checked via cctv as well to verify it.

A reputated name like Sandoz serving amazing food but being awful at hospitality is quite shocking.

This Jail road branch needs to work on management I like the food but will never go back to this specific branch

At last if you can’t accommodate 8 people on FIFO basis then why are you even writing there name on the list ??

It is better to deny them politely rather than to keep them waiting for indefinite time!

Specially when you are forcing senior citizens to wait!!

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Not Recommended for Special Occasions- Unprofessional Conduct by Sandoz Restaurant Managers

I visited this restaurant - Sandoz Jail Road to celebrate my wedding anniversary with family, expecting a pleasant and well-managed evening—but it turned out to be anything but that.

The manager told us over phone that they do not do table booking, which forced me to arrive much earlier than planned just to secure seating.

Shockingly, the manager denied us entry until all guests had arrived, insisting on personally counting them before letting us in.

Once inside, we were seated at a corner table for two, even though we were hosting a larger group—disrespectful and thoughtless.

Even more concerning, the manager collected phone numbers from my guests and wrote them in a physical register. This invasive and questionable practice raises serious data privacy concerns.

The air conditioning was completely non-functional, making the experience highly uncomfortable.

Worst of all, both managers were constantly outside on phone calls and completely disconnected from what was happening inside the restaurant.

This kind of treatment is unacceptable. I chose this place based on its reputation, but clearly, the management is indifferent to guest experience and hospitality standards. I hope they take this feedback seriously—but I won’t be returning, and I certainly can’t recommend...

I wrote a review around a year back which obviously rated this place above 4 stars. I am compelled to change my views.... In past year the quality of food in take away has gone worst. The tandoori rotis are burnt till black. We had to get the money refunded. There is a Difference in price in online menu and the bill we got on delivery. Overpriced... Today's Butter garlic naan was no less than a Rubber. One can not chew them at all In Spl Daal makhani there was no daal but only Water. And Sandoz claim this to be their speciality. In the name of onion and chutney they give you one small packet of each on the order of above 1000 and this too after repeated requests.

PLEASE DO NOT ORDER ONLINE OR TAKE AWAY DELIVERY FROM THIS PLACE

Good food... Both scrumptious and copious... Serving for two would actually serve Three 😀.. true value for money.. being a vegetarian i would recommend their Palak Patta Chaat, Tawa Chaap, Kadhai Paneer, Garlic butter Naan and ofcourse special Dal Makhani ... Fine dining for family.. they make food little spicy on personal demand .. try that for tawa chaap and kadhai paneer..

It's quite well connected as it's on jail road, near mangalwar gurudwara and 10-12 minutes walk from Tilak Nagar metro station.. take exit towards mangalwar gurudwara.. it's on the opposite lane of...
