Temple Street is a small eatery in Tilak Nagar, easily reachable through Google maps and I absolutely love this place.
Have been here multiple times and have tried Kathal biryani (5/5), Paneer Noorani biryani (4/5), Veg Shahi biryani (3/5), paneer dosa (5/5), South Indian platter (4/5), Soya Tikka masala thali (5/5), Tandoori Soya chaap (3/5) etc. Recently they have added bubble tea to their menu and shakes with boba pearls. I tried Thai milk tea, though the taste was not authentic however, for this price it was fine
They do online delivery as well. Place has indoor and outdoor seating arrangement. Its not that big but still can hold upto 15 people indoors and 10 people outdoors at a time. Don’t expect luxury but you can definitely expect tasty meals. They serves South Indian, North Indian and street food. Everything served is super tasty and flavourful. Its a family restaurant. When you want to skip cooking/ eating at home then this is a must-try place that should be on your list. Quick service. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. +Serving size is reasonable and quality is top-notch. Parking may be a challenge. They have roadside open parking that can easily hold two-wheelers. However, parking car during peak hours may be a challenge. -They have 1 rest-room and 1 washbasin that was not hygienic or neatly kept. Definitely an area for improvement. -They can also beautify the place a bit more to make it picture perfect.
Overall, a nice experience and a must-visit place. Much recommended! ➡️ Will I visit agin?...
Read moreI visited this location on a Saturday afternoon with my friends who live nearby, in order to catch up with them. You can get down at Tilak Nagar metro station gate number 3 and start walking towards your left, straight down the alley, and after 400 meters, you can reach the destination. It is a small outlet serving all varieties of food, whether Chinese, South Indian, North Indian, Chole Bhature, etc.
We had Rajkachori filled with Aloo Matar and topped with a generous amount of curd. The South Indian platter includes Masala Dosa, idli, vada, vegetable upma (which I liked the most), and Halwa. This mini South Indian platter was priced at 169 rupees. We also tried the North Indian platter, which consisted of butter naan, rice, dal makhani, mixed vegetables, and raita. The thali was also priced at the same rate, providing a complete meal. The naan served with this was a single, complete piece.
For dessert, we enjoyed the gulab jamun, which was huge and very sweet.
Overall, I had a good experience. If you live in the area, you can give it a try and share your views in...
Read moreWe recently ate at Temple Street, a restaurant in Ashok Nagar. It's known for Indian food, and overall, it was a good experience.
We started with a Masala Dosa, which was very crispy and tasty. It came with different sauces that made it even better.
Then, we got the thali with different items like paneer, dal makhni, a small onion salad, and a sweet dish - gulab jamun. I really liked the dal and dessert.
We also tried two kinds of rice dishes called biryanis. One was made with jackfruit and the other with paneer. Both were really flavorful and had a lot of spices.
However, the Raj Kachori, which is supposed to be a crunchy snack filled with stuff like yogurt and spices, wasn't as good. It didn't have enough yogurt, so it tasted a bit dry.
We ended the meal with Filter Coffee, which was strong and tasty, and Paneer Tikka, which are grilled cheese cubes. The coffee was great, and the paneer was cooked just right and had lots of flavor.
The place was nice to sit in. I'd go back to try more...
