I want to share an incident that happened to me. I am a non-Gujarati, but my family has been living in Gujarat for a few years now, so our local address is also in Gujarat. We went to get a room here for our family, and there was a lady at the counter. I spoke to her in Hindi, but hearing Hindi, she got angry and started asking if I was Gujarati or non-Gujarati.
