Dining at The Ember Table is like falling into a well-researched novel—one that pleases the senses and fills the belly, although a few of the chapters read a bit too quickly or a bit too half-written. Housed in the middle of the city's historic district, this sleek bistro seamlessly combines style, comfort, and gastronomic ingenuity. From the beginning, the atmosphere was impressive. The restaurant's warm, modern decor with wood tones, warm lighting, and a combination of intimate booths and formal table settings set the tone. The open kitchen gives the room energy, and it is evident that the restaurant prides itself on its ambiance. It captures that elusive union of casual and fancy enough to be both a good spot for a night out on a special evening and a convivial night out with friends. Service was generally excellent. We were greeted in a timely fashion and seated quickly, even on a Saturday night when the restaurant was busy. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and very enthusiastic about the menu. They made good suggestions and were attentive to questions. There was one minor glitch when a side dish was overlooked, but the staff took it in stride and addressed the mistake promptly and efficiently, even going so far as to offer a free dessert as a gesture. The seasonal New American menu with international flair features an eclectically diverse selection of small plates and entrees. To begin, we had the burrata with heirloom tomatoes and basil oil—a definite favorite. The rich cheese complemented perfectly the fresh, vibrant tomatoes and crunchy toast. We also had the Korean chicken wings, which hit on both flavor and texture, although a little more spice would have pushed it to perfection. For my main course, I had the grilled hanger steak with chimichurri and truffle fries. The steak was cooked just to my taste—medium rare, with a good sear and a soft interior. The chimichurri added a bright, herby kick, although the fries, although flavorful, were not as crispy as they should have been. My guest had the seared scallops served on top of sweet corn purée and pickled fennel. The scallops were cooked just right and complemented nicely by the lightly sweet, tart accompaniments. The wine list is small but well-curated, with a solid selection of local and international wines. Our server recommended a dry Sauvignon Blanc that complemented the seafood nicely. Craft cocktails are also available, and my rosemary gin fizz cocktail beforehand was well-balanced and a nice pick-me-up. Dessert was a powerful conclusion. We sampled the dark chocolate torte with caramel drizzle and sea salt—a rich dessert that succeeded in being rich without overpowering the taste buds. The serving size was large, so it was good for sharing. Now, some things that keep this from being a five-star review. Although the food was generally exceptional, some of the dishes might have used a bit more seasoning or textural contrast. And although the service was warm and attentive, the pacing between courses was sometimes patchy. We waited almost 25 minutes for our entrees, which broke up the rhythm of the meal. Lastly, although the prices are reasonable for the quality, the restaurant does lean towards the upper end, particularly when considering drinks and appetizers. It's worth it for a special occasion evening out, but maybe not a daily destination for the common patron. All things considered, The Ember Table delivers a polished and memorable dining experience. With just a bit more consistency in execution, it could easily earn that elusive fifth star. Still, I’d happily return—and recommend it to anyone looking for an elevated yet approachable meal in a beautiful setting.

*They are not QUEER friendly* Worst experience ever. Give it a 2 min read- I called them on Saturday, April 16 at 5pm and talked to Poonam and when I told them I want a couple entry, they were happy but when I told them we’re a gay couple, they refused. After me telling them I’ll write a Google review on this situation, they happily took the reservation. After reaching the venue, we were offered a seat on the back side corner when I asked them the reason for it, they said that the front is only for straight couples or girls and when I objected & argued, I was given nonsense reasons. Finally they agreed to put a separate table for us right next to the backstage with puffies and not event proper chairs literally as if they themselves wanted us to leaves and they were successful in humiliating us, embarrassing us and making us feel less human just because we’re gay. We finally walked out. Not a good behaviour at all. I’ve attached reference images for you to show the table which they set for us

One of the cafe-bar restaurant on Pusa road which failed to impress us. The only good part was live rock band music. All of the restaurant are struggling to maintain the quality of guest and hence, are losing customer service morals. My Experience - We were scanned on entry to decide the table. Then asked to vacate the table by 10:30PM because I was non-drinker and didn't order beer/hukkah. The manager was arrogant and I decided not to fight after hearing a lot of incidents being bullied by bouncers. Food - 4/5 Turn around time - 3/5 Ambience - 3.5/5 Service - 1/5 (Table service was upto the mark but overall manager's attitude to run this business should be changed) We tried the following, Margherita Pizza - 4/5 Californian Veg Sushi - 3/5 Dahi Kebab - 4/5 Cigar Roll - 3.5/5 Orchid Sunset Mocktail - 4/5 Berry Lavender - 5/5 LIT - 4/5

While the food was undoubtedly the highlight of the evening, there were a few aspects that could have been improved, particularly the service.

Now, let's talk about the highlight of the evening—the terrace with live music. The restaurant's decision to have a live music band playing on the terrace was a stroke of genius.

However, one point to consider is that the live music could be a bit loud, making it challenging to hold conversations with friends. If you are planning to visit, I highly recommend choosing the terrace seating, as the pleasant weather and the ambiance outweigh any inconvenience caused by the volume of the music. It is the perfect setting for a relaxed evening out, adding a touch of vibrancy to your dining experience.

In conclusion, this restaurant undoubtedly impressed me with its remarkable culinary offerings. While the service could have been improved, the food alone was worth the visit. The terrace with live music added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening, despite the slight inconvenience of the music's volume. So, if you're looking for a memorable dining experience with delicious food and a lively atmosphere, make sure to visit this restaurant and indulge in their culinary delights on...
