It was an unplanned visit with family, we were just looking for some good place to eat passing by Nehru place. After considering few options suggested by Google, went for you mee seeing the review ratings.
Reaching the mall is not too difficult with maps but stay careful for the entry point. Reaching the restaurant from parking is a small puzzle to solve as need to pass many small trenches.
The restaurant itself looked nice & welcoming, with good decour. Seats were available at lunch time.
We took some time to understand the menu and then placed order, which included sushi, fried rice, lamb curry, dimsums and few other items.
The first order placed was for sushi but it took huge time to come, the preparation was good but not at level of restaurant like Kogai.
Sticky Fried rice would rate the lowest as it appeared to be made from normal rice & missed the sticky rice texture & flavour.
The fried thin noodles were good with slightly more salt than our taste, but not too much.
The dimsums were good & we tried 2 varieties. Filling was well made with thin transparent skin. None of the chutneys would say was remarkable but were definitely usable.
The lemongrass flavour mocktail was too sweat & lemon grass flavors was missing (ideally should have returned it).
The pepper lamb curry was acceptable, but lamb meat was not as soft as I was expecting but overall curry flavour was good. Order this if you are used to higher spice level as it has lot of pepper.
The best was the dessert, pudding made with coconut milk and topped with liquid jaggery, though I guess it could have been little softer.
The paper mats was a nice touch to keep kids busy, they should also provide pencils to work on the these. The serving time appeared to be higher, specially looking at low load of customers. The staff was helpful, were attentive & showed good compassion.
Quantity of all servings were of decent size/amount except for dimsums which I felt is over priced (4 pcs costing more than ₹500 with taxes).
The place left a mixed feeling of taste not too good not something that can be rejected or said as bad. Definitely a place which can be visited by families of an occasional...
Read moreIf you’re into anime vibes + bomb Pan-Asian food, YouMee is basically your spot. The whole menu is a playground of sushi, ramen, and dimsum — but honestly, it’s got way more range than that.
We stumbled into the Nehru Place outlet after work and low-key didn’t expect much, but wow. The place is small, yet the interiors totally make up for it — clean, muted tones with anime sketches all over the walls. Kinda feels like you walked into a manga café that also serves fire food.
Started with Chicken Gyoza — pan-fried, plum little dumplings that were perfectly steamed. Dunk them in the spicy Shanghai sauce and boom: flavor explosion. Then came the Prawn Dumplings with Yellow Curry in a bamboo steamer. Fresh shrimp wrapped up and paired with a herby Thai coconut curry = chef’s kiss.
Pro tip: don’t skip the free table snacks. The sesame-coated veggies and steamed peanuts? Addictive. And yup, you can ask for refills 👀.
For mains, we tried the Hibachi Chicken Fried Rice — buttery, soy-packed, sprinkled with Sichuan chili flakes for that perfect kick. Big chunks of chicken and crunchy veggies kept it interesting with every bite. We paired it with Singapore Chili Prawns — juicy, slow-cooked, spicy-sweet, and honestly some of the freshest prawns I’ve had in Delhi.
We walked in for a “quick lunch” and ended up vibing there for almost two hours. Food’s slightly pricey, but the quality? Solid 9/10. Totally worth it if you’re looking for anime aesthetics + next-level...
Read moreI hardly ever write negative reviews, but my recent visit to YouMee at Epicuria was one of the most pathetic dining experiences I’ve had.
I went with my friends and placed multiple orders. We kept waiting and waiting — more than 30 minutes passed and not a single dish was served. Every time we asked, the staff just repeated “It’s coming” without any accountability. Even after 35–40 minutes, there was still no food.
To make matters worse, when we asked another staff member, she outright ignored us. The staff here were shockingly rude, arrogant, and unapologetic. Their behaviour made us feel as if they were doing us a favour by serving us, rather than us being paying customers. It was insulting and extremely disappointing.
I have always liked YouMee at other locations, but this particular Epicuria branch is a disgrace to the brand. With such pathetic service and disrespectful staff, it honestly doesn’t deserve to be open. Authorities should really take strict action against restaurants that treat customers this way.
I would never recommend YouMee Epicuria to anyone. If you enjoy YouMee, stick to other outlets, this one will only ruin...
