Can I just say that this is one of the most beautifully constructed and managed joint in all of South Delhi even though is it located near a Metro station? ๐ The location is premium but both the indoor and outdoor seating are fairytale-esque in viewing; with amazing lighting and ambience.
I have already visited the Nehru place location twice as of now(Really need to visit the Garden of Five senses one) and I have heard nothing but good things from the other patrons of the place as well.
The insides of the restaurant is spacious and the seating are well placed. The music in the background is not overpowering at all and the decor/colours of the wall, together with lighting were clearly well thought of before implementing.
We started our night of ordering with Fungi Pepperoncini, Feta+Caramelized Onions+Garlic+Shitake Mushrooms pizza, Amritsari Lal Murg Tikka, Crunchy Dahi Aam Pappad Tikki and Golden John Dory. John Dory were delicately cooked fish fingers with an amazing thousand islands sauce. Amritsari Tikka was soft and flavourful with bite sized pieces, Dahi Aam Pappad Kebabs were tangy and this was the first time I had experienced such a flavour cocktail in my mouth. Something new and refreshing. The Pizza was big enough to serve as our main course(๐) and the loaded with just the right amount of cheese. The toppings were fresh and crunchy to bite on. Fungi Pepperoncini was creamy and decent in taste.
Our main course comprised of Linguini, Seafood while was a amazing medley of Linguini pasta, cooked to gentle perfection and the seafood broth; light and with great amount of meat in it which was cooked to perfection and seasoned to accompany the texture of the pasta. My parents ordered Amritsari Maa ki Daal and a few Tandoori Roti. The daal was well prepared and served piping hot. The whole meal course was accompanied by a refreshing Hot Wired mocktail which was not overly sweetened with syrup but has a nice sour and savoury balance to it.
Our night of culinary pleasure ended with the Tiramisu San Gimiano dessert; which was their twist on a classic Tiramisu dessert. The Espresso used was dark in flavouring but balanced with the right amount of sweeting so as to not ruin the coffee rich flavour and the destroy the dish's identity(I don't like when people mess with the taste of coffee). The traditional biscuits used in a Tiramisu have to be soaked in the espresso so as to take on the flavour. Their version simply added a biscuit crumble on top and the crackers in the middle could have been soaked in coffee for a bit longer. I did love the dessert though. My mom also ordered the summer special dessert which was themed around mangoes and included a mango lolly, diced mangoes and a sweetened cream. Too sweet for either of us but the taste was refreshing.
Overall, my two visits to the place have been nothing short of amazing.

My recent experience at FIO Restaurant was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that this establishment had no regard for its customers, particularly women. The lack of respect and consideration displayed by the staff was truly appalling.
First and foremost, I was shocked to discover that FIO Restaurant had failed to mention anywhere that babies or children were not allowed. As a mother with a young child, this was a huge inconvenience and disappointment. It would have been helpful to know this information beforehand, as it would have saved me the trouble of making arrangements for my little one.
The hospitality at FIO Restaurant was abysmal. The staff members were impolite and inattentive, showing a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. It seemed as though they were more interested in making a quick profit than providing a pleasant dining experience. The waiters were rude and dismissive, making me feel unwelcome and undervalued as a customer.
What struck me the most about FIO Restaurant was their complete lack of ethics. It was evident that their sole motive was to earn money, with no consideration for the well-being or happiness of their patrons. The quality of the food was subpar, and it was clear that corners were being cut to maximize profits. The prices were exorbitant for the mediocre dishes served, and it felt like a complete rip-off.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against visiting FIO Restaurant. The combination of their disrespectful treatment towards women, poor hospitality, and complete lack of ethics make it a place to be avoided at all costs. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment and find a restaurant that values its customers and provides a pleasurable dining experience. #WorstPlace #WorstHospitality #NoRespectForWomen #NoEthics...
ย ย ย Read moreGood ambience and some good dishes, mainly Italian-centric but including a broadly Mediterranean sampler mix as well. For example, the "tower", as it's called, was a good antipasti. There were 9 of us so 2 towers as a start were good. These contained a mรฉlange of small, tapas-like helpings which included a mix of sea food and meat. The salmon and shrimp risotto was excellent. I'm not a risotto fan but had to admit it was good because it was properly cooked i.e. slowly with regular dosing of stock so as to get the starch off the arborio rice; so, no need to inundate it with totally unnecessary "dairy" to enhance richness. We did not feel the need to order pizza. That's a snack and not fine-dining. It's like going to a 5*and ordering samosas. Nothing wrong with samosas but everything has a time and place! Ambience good but let down by mediocre service. Good servers know, instinctively, how to cut through the uncertainties of customers, verbalise what they might REALLY want, as a group, and then make helpful suggestions. Some of us knew what to pick out and some of us didn't. There was also our irritating Indian habit of sampling each others' food (mimicking how we eat at home) and not really understanding European, course-wise eating. However, it's a restaurant in India (specifically Delhi!) so a good server should be able to understand his customers! It's probably a good place to go to if you know your Italian food and are prepared to order course-wise. Maybe, final judgement should await...
