Extremely Disappointed at Edapally Branch,
Iâm a regular customer of Sign Laban in Kochi, usually visiting the Kakkanad branch. On 15th August (Friday) around 11:45 PM, my wife and I visited the new Edapally branch since it was closer to where we were that night. We are huge fans of their Cheese Bomb, and we went there specifically for it.
When we arrived, there was a customer in front of us who was confused between Cheese Bomb and Salankatia. I overheard the service staff politely telling them there was only Cheese Bomb left. Noticing our excitement for that dish, the staff member smartly suggested Salankatia to the first-time customer so that both they and we could get dishes weâd enjoy. I really appreciated his effort to satisfy both customers â very professional and customer-friendly.
However, what followed completely ruined the experience. The girl at the billing counter seemed visibly annoyed by this staff memberâs suggestion and started making rude remarks about it to another colleague. Even after billing us for Cheese Bomb, we saw her continuing to fuss with the service guy. Shockingly, a few minutes later, when our order was called, we were told Cheese Bomb was âover.â This was very suspicious because moments earlier, it was available , and it felt like our order was deliberately cancelled due to her personal grudge with her colleague.
When we asked for an explanation, the billing lady gave a vague excuse. The service guy looked helpless, and we could tell he had no role in this decision. It was embarrassing, frustrating, and deeply disappointing to be treated like this over internal staff issues.
Sign Laban is a brand Iâve loved since beginning in kochi, but this Edapally branch left us with a bitter taste. Poor customer service, unprofessional behavior, and personal grudges should never affect customers. I will not be visiting this...
Read moreWe visited Sign Laban, a cozy Egyptian-style dessert outlet, located conveniently near Lulu Mall, Edappilly, around 6 PM on a Thursday evening. The place runs on a self-service model â you place your order at the counter, pay in advance , and wait for your number to be called.
We decided to try their Pistachio Salankatia priced at âš350. After about a 10-minute wait, we received our order and took the lift to the first floor, where thereâs a nicely arranged seating area. The place was neat, well-designed, and offers a pleasant roadside view from the top.
Now coming to the dish â itâs extremely rich and heavy. Just after 4 spoonfuls, we were totally full. Itâs definitely not something one person can finish alone. We feel itâs best shared by at least 4 people; otherwise, youâre likely to leave a good portion behind, just like we did. However, if youâre a sugar lover, you might enjoy it more than we did.
The ordering area was quite congested, especially during the evening rush. Getting a seat can be a challenge if itâs crowded. Also, parking is a bit tricky, as space around the outlet is limited.
Overall, the ambience is impressive, and itâs worth visiting if youâre into rich, Middle Eastern-style desserts. Just make sure to go in a group and plan for a...
Read moreSign Labanâs Edappally branch has no parking space, and the shop is always overcrowded. The dessert was good but too sweet â it's difficult to finish one alone. The social media hype seems exaggerated. Most people come just to take videos and post them on social media. However, I visited three times specifically to try the signature items: Pistachio, Lotus, and Cheese Bomb. Unfortunately, all three times, these flavors were unavailable.
It feels like a business strategy to push customers toward other flavors. People wait in line, and once they arrive, theyâre told the signature items are not available, so they end up choosing something else. Signature and trending items shouldnât be out of stock all day â thatâs not acceptable.
As a customer, Iâm not satisfied with...
