A couple of days back , I went to this restaurant for a dinner to celebrate a special occasion. As a host I selected a restaurant with good reviews. I was expecting a lavish buffet dinner for me and my guests but what we actually got was a joke. We were sitting in the restaurant from 8.15 pm to 11.45 pm ,not because we intended to stay this long but because of the slow and careless service by the staff. I found an army of waiters buzzing in every part of this restaurant but I seriously doubt if they had sufficient food to serve to the diners. The veg and non vegetarian guests were asked to sit separately which we obediently did. The appetizers came but one piece of appetizer at one time. The waiters came with next starter only once we polished our first starter. There was so much control over the quantity that our plates were empty most of the time. We asked for repeat but our requests were ignored most of the time. The waiters were serving as if they had a checklist to complete. They did not care to ask if the non vegetarians would like to try veg appetizers or if we want a second helping. The drinks came very late for everyone, almost at the time when we had started our main course. I had requested mineral water for my daughter but the requests were completely ignored by super busy staff. Although, quite miraculously the mixed fruit juice came after reminding them twice. The manager Pratap was not managing the staff but he was serving the diners. The staff was running helter skelter without any supervision. I got very embarrassed in front of my guests as they made fun of the situation and waited endlessly for their food. When the main course was served, same story continued. The waiters took the plate without asking me. The waiters were making fun of us when we were showing our displeasure. We saw Manager Pratap also joining them in this. The desserts were served finally. I ate only one dessert which was horrendous in taste , the pan icecream. It was mouth freshener mixed with ice cream. The waiters served this icecream quite generously and I now understand the reason. We later realized that none of us were served rice dish (btw the menu had two types of biryani - one veg and one non veg mentioned for that day). While the bill was being paid the manager , Pratap was unapologetic and very casual. The Great Kharab Factory" was our worst experience ever! It completely spoiled our...
Read moreWas part of a big gathering a couple of days ago to celebrate a special occasion. But the experience was very disappointing and totally unexpected. Read on to know more: Pros: Just one - taste of non-veg items was mostly good. Cons: Very sloppy and slow service - most of the staff members were running here and there like headless chicken. Most of us were just sitting and waiting for items to be served - plates were mostly empty during this time It seems that food items were rationed and measured - the servers were quite hesitant in serving starters. We got only one piece of non-veg galauti kabab each. The servers were not too keen to check if any thing was required by the guests. In fact we had to continuously chase them multiple times (more than 10 times on a couple of occasions) to get something on the table (both successfully and unsuccessfully) The way main course was served was a joke. Reminded us of sitting in a community kitchen where servers came with small bowls and poured strictly measured quantities of the dishes on offer. Getting a second helping solely depended on one's past karmas (not too good for most of us it seems). We shared our experience with the manager - we were told that this was a one-off instance since all the tables were surprisingly occupied that too on a weekday! And also because they started operations at Kaushambhi only recently. Such lousy and cliched justification coming from a reputed establishment was simply appalling!
Likewise guess it will be a one-off venture for us too at The Great Kabab Factory, Radisson Blu, Kaushambhi. Once (badly) bitten, twice (many times) shy! Others venture to this place at...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at The Great Kabab Factory at Radisson Blu, Kaushambi, and I wanted to share my thoughts as a seasoned diner. At my age of 66yrs, I've had my fair share of dining experiences, but my visit to your restaurant was truly unique.
First and foremost, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance felt like a comforting embrace, reminding me of cherished family gatherings from years gone by. Your attention to creating a cozy environment is truly commendable.
Now, let's talk about the food. Every bite was a trip down memory lane, reminding me of my grandmother's kitchen. It's not often that I find a restaurant that captures the essence of home-cooked meals. Your chef's dedication to tradition and flavor is evident in every dish. Kudos to Chef Ali, Chef Khem and Mr. Karan.
But what truly stood out was the service. In today's fast-paced world, it's rare to find a team that understands the value of taking the time to make guests feel cherished. Your staff's genuine care and patience in attending to my needs were heartwarming.
I also appreciated the consideration shown by your team when it came to accommodating my special requests. It's not easy to please an old lady with specific preferences, but your restaurant managed to do just that with grace and a smile.
Thank you for creating such a unique and memorable dining experience. I look forward to returning with my friends and family so they can share in the warmth and flavors that make your restaurant truly special.
