I visited Poee & Co. after seeing an enticing reel, but my experience didn’t live up to the hype.

Food:

Poee o Verrma: This came with potato twists and tasted somewhat like shawarma. The taste was average, and the potato twists were soft instead of crispy, which was disappointing.

Sharabi Banta (Non-Alcoholic Aam Panna): Served in a goti bottle, the drink was refreshing but not worth the steep ₹150 price.

Kung Pao Chicken with Hakka Noodles: The dish was average at best. I’ve had far better Kung Pao Chicken elsewhere. The Hakka Noodles had an overwhelming amount of vegetables, which threw off the balance.

Service: The food took almost an hour to arrive, which was frustrating. Additionally, the waitstaff didn’t provide any serving service, despite service charges being included in the bill. Although the charges are optional, the bill is printed with them by default. If you opt out, it takes ages to get the bill reprinted, which is inconvenient.

Accessibility and Ambience: The restaurant is located upstairs, and with no lift available, it’s not suitable for elderly people or those with knee issues. Prices are on the higher side, and the overall experience doesn’t justify the cost.

I recently visited Poee & Co with my elderly mom, and it was an exceptional experience. The food was excellent, we tried the stuffed poees reasonably priced, and the ambiance of the place was beautiful.

What really stood out, however, was the outstanding service provided by a lovely lady named Sukla. She went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Initially, I decided against taking my mom upstairs when I saw there were stairs, so I rushed up to place a takeaway order instead. Sukla was so calm and understanding she offered to bring the drink down for my mom. Then, noticing my hesitation, she kindly informed me about the lift, showed me where it was and encouraged me to bring my mom upstairs.
