"Refusal to use the washroom" My overall experience was marred by an unfortunate incident involving restroom access. The staff behaviour was not at all appropriate, the way they handled a simple request of accessing the washroom. My friend needed to use the restroom. To our surprise and disappointment, when she approached the staff to request access to the restroom, she was flatly denied.
This refusal to allow any lady to use basic restroom facilities was not only surprising but also incredibly insensitive. As per the government ,no restaurant can deny the restroom access for lady. It's essential for any restaurant to prioritize the comfort and well-being of its guests, and this incident fell far short of that standard.
The refusal was particularly distressing because there was no apparent reason for it.On the contrary, they forced us to buy something. The restaurant was not crowded, and there were no visible signs indicating restroom restrictions. It left my friend feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. It's worth noting that an apology or even a reasonable explanation for the restroom refusal was never offered, making us feel even more unwelcome.
In conclusion,I would never recommend this restaurant based on this unfortunate incident. The way they handled this situation was disappointing and unprofessional. Ensuring the comfort and dignity of all customers should be a fundamental priority for any restaurant, and this establishment failed to meet that basic...
Read moreOn the last day of our recent trip to Goa I was craving for some authentic Shark Ambot Tik And after a little research come upon The Goan Room close to our hotel near Dona Paula. We went there on a two wheeler and could easily park however parking for bigger vehicles could be a little challenging.
On entering I was surprised to see how big the place really is. There are several tables and can easily occupy a big party. The decor here is quirky and the ceiling to floor Mario Miranda like murals is something you cant take your eyes off. We were attended to and served by a really kind and warm person and we were well taken care of.
I was left absolutely speechless by the food here!!! It was incredibly flavorful and was absolutely perfect. Eat bite was thrilling and put us in a deep foodgasm. We were trying really hard to slowdown but it just kept getting difficult. For starters we ordered Prawns Rechado and Rawa Fried Mussels. For the main course we ordered Shark Ambot tik with Rice. For dessert our kind server despite us being too full suggested Serra Dura and by the way he insisted I knew it meant we really shouldn't miss it. It turned out to be the best way to end our meal. it was light and fluffy but each bite was breathtaking.
I cannot recommend The Goan Room enough and only wish we had tried it earlier. I'm sure we would have ended up eating here everyday of our trip. Cant wait to come back to Goa and specially for more food at...
Read moreI m from Mangalore and i know exactly how seafood tastes like when it's served fresh. I visited this place with family as this was a common place recommended by everyone. My advice.. if you are a seafood lover it's a must visit.. platter is to die for (tried Rs 2400/- platter). I & my family would agree that it was one of the best platter ever. And post that we ordered a thali.. that too was amazing.. and the price of thali surprised me more with fish fry, n prawn curry and shell fish and an adequate amount of rice n curry and other vegetarian side dishes it only costs 190/-.. This is the place where you get served authentic Goan style seafood.
U may not get parking space as this place is too crowded. And closes by 3pm in the afternoon. They won't serve meals and platter post this time..
They have limited staffs. So it might take time to get your order since the place is crowded.
They serve strong fenny shots as well. Must try. Of course don't try shots if you are driving.
Pls do visit if you are a...
