Dona Paula Jetty Goa — Attraction in Goa

I recently revisited one of my favorite childhood tourist spots in Goa, and it remains one of the best scenic places to soak in the beauty of the coast. It was under construction for a couple of months but now they’ve fixed it well! The views from Dona Paula are absolutely breathtaking, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the fresh sea breeze.

There's a fascinating legend associated with this place: it’s said that Dona Paula de Meneses jumped off the cliff into the sea when she was forbidden to marry the man she loved. This story adds a touch of romance and history to the visit, making it even more special.

Nicely done for tourists to visit, Good view with sea & rocks on all sides, no beach. Visited during the day 12-1pm, very hot and humid. Perhaps better during evening time for sunset . Some shade should be provided for Tourists to sit & enjoy

Various folklore exists about Dona the girl & Paula the local boy and their lovestory. The one I heard is that Dona was a governors daughter who fell in love with a local boy Paula, however due to objection from both families they committed suicide.

There is no parking for cars, You can ask driver to drop and move out and call back for pick up. If dropped at the main entrance it's a good 800 Meters walk...

Very beautiful and one of the popular tourist destination/spot which is famous for its story behind as Dona Paula who had jumped off from the cliff as her marriage (relationship) with a local poor fisherman was denied by her influential family in that era. Dona Paula was daughter of a Portuguese viceroy who never bow down to her daughter wishes and this place became popular. Localite gave name of that cliff in memory of Dona Paula.
