Arcanjela Bar and Restaurant — Restaurant in Goa

One of the oldest Bar n restaurant. This place has its history of its own. Located just next to Dona Paul circle and 7kms from the main Panaji City.

We met the owner of this place Prescilla Cabral who gave us some background. This was started in the year 1965 by her Mother in law and it was a typical Goan Bar, very famous among the locals serving snacks along with the drinks. This place has preserved its local and traditional flavours and which we could taste in the Prawn curry, Goan chilly.

It’s a very cozy, relaxing place with dim lights and the traditional Goan roof makes it nice and cool.

Since its Urrak season in Goa, I tried Urrak which is also called the Jungle Juice of Goa. It was very refreshing and goes perfectly well with the Goan food.

We ordered and Recommend Rice with Prawn Curry - 300/- Lepo rawa fry - 200/- Reshad Bangdo - 240/- Mussels rawa fry - 400/- Goan style chilly chicken - 190/- Urrak - 90/- (1q)

Does not serve fish thali.

Not to forget the cat 😻kids can have a good time playing around too.

We had a fantastic dinner with friends at this establishment recently, and the overall experience was very positive. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring their diverse menu, with several dishes standing out. The Chicken Lollipop and Prawns Butter Garlic were exceptional, both deserving a solid 4.5/5 for their incredible flavor and preparation. The Pork Vindaloo with Chapathi was equally impressive, offering an authentic and delicious taste (also 4.5/5). Our Prawns Noodles were also very satisfying (4/5).

Beyond the delicious food, the ambiance was very pleasant, contributing to a relaxed dining atmosphere, and the staff were notably welcoming and attentive. The sole aspect that could benefit from improvement was the cleanliness of the washroom facilities. The Service and food was Pathetic... I went along with 2 of my friends.. As we Entered the place it looked Okie.. We found a table at the End Corner.

They took Almost 10-15 minutes to give us the Menu, for which i had to literally ask the waiter to come to our table by pointing out where were sitting.

He came to our table to give the Menu n we asked him y so much delay he was like " यहां हम ऐसे ही काम करते हैं" itseems🤦🏻. He looked Drunk to me..

Thn we cought hold of another Waiter n told him our order.
