Anthony's First Base — Restaurant in Goa

Me and my wife had taken a long evening walk on the beach till 6.30 pm, and were very hungry. We were looking for a nice place to sit, relax, and enjoy some good seafood. I browsed on Google to search for such a place. We went to Anthony's First Base because it came up with the highest rating of 4.7. However, eating there left us wondering how this below average place managed to get such high rating. Having read the other responses here, I think this place is good enough only for beer, and maybe, french fries. If you are looking to eat good seafood, this is one place you should avoid. The taste of food is ordinary, the portions are small, and exorbitantly priced. Not to forget, it takes forever to serve the food. I had to remind the server three times before the food was finally served. So, if you want to eat good seafood on Colva beach, you will be better off avoiding...

We booked a new year package. They charged us Rs 8000 for our group and promised 2 snacks and 1 drink per person. We confirmed what all is included in the package 3 times. Peter even said that don't worry I will adjust a bit more snacks in the same package as we were 9 people including 2 children. But in the end they gave us the bill of Rs 10,000 and said that the snacks you ordered were not covered. Total scam and the worst experience on new year.

When we argued, Anthony started shouting and started threatening. In the end we paid a total of Rs 16,000 for the food bill of Rs 10,000. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would suggest to avoid these scammers and liars.
