Awani Plant Based — Restaurant in Goa

I really enjoyed waking up and walking over for a chai tea. Manjot and Josh always welcome me with a big smile. I usually order the Classic oats for breakfast with banana, flax seeds, and a side of date syrup. Nice way to start the day. After, my food settled, I would often do yoga, in nice studio in the back. The yoga changes depending on the teacher. After yoga, I would jump in the pool to cool off. After a beautiful sunset, I would often head over to Awanii for some dinner. My favorite creation on the menu was Onigirikazu, a Nori sandwich with caramelized onion, panko tofu and shitake mushrooms served with pickled ginger, wasabi and soy sauce on the side. The sushi was also, really good I suggest trying the whole menu while you stay in Arunbul. The price worked well for my finances on vacation for the quality of the food. I always feel clean leaving Awanii. I'll be returning to Goa and also returning to visit my good friends...

Tucked away on the main road of Arambol, a little away from the beach area, is this absolutely wonderful vegan cafe. We discovered it a couple of days into our stay in Arambol and ever since we first dined here, we just kept going back there for every meal. It is probably one of the best vegan restaurants I have dined at, the food is delicious, nutritious and visually a treat too. They grow their own fresh organic veggies and herbs and that gives a special taste that is unforgettable. We loved dining here so much that, much to our surprise, we were spurred to stay at the same place (there is a resort with rooms adjoining the cafe, at the same premises, but different management). The restaurant has beautiful vibes, nicely done space, lot of greenery and friendly staff. But what is most important is that, every item we ordered came perfect and...

I ordered onigiri, there was no taste, the nori was so rubbery that it was simply impossible to bite off. I'll try next time, but it's not tasty yet 👎

I am updating my review after several visits. The most edible thing in this cafe turned out to be: Pumpkin soup and chocolate mousse. Today I ordered a salad with rice noodles. If the word SALAD is written first then there should be more salad, in the end it was a whole plate of sticky pasta generously sprinkled with dirty peanuts. The waiters themselves do not come, there are no napkins on the table, but there is water, you need to ask for glasses at least several times. The plate, as you can see in the photo, is broken and they continue to bring food in it. There is no toilet paper in the toilets and no soap...
