Fisherman's Beach Shack Restaurant Candolim Goa — Restaurant in Goa

Found this little gem of a place towards the end of our holiday 2 years ago. On our return this year we pretty much made this the only beach restaurant we used for our entire months stay in Goa.

The reasons for this are simple.

Great facilities..! Toilets are very clean and modern. Good handwashing facilities, shower room with plenty of running water.

The restaurant and bar portion itself is built on a hardstanding. You only need to go onto the sand for the beach. Nice quality tables and chairs, electric fans if required. Free sunbeds and towels if needed. Good free WiFi.

There are even matted walkways to help keep you off the heat of the sand throughout the day.

The food was of good quality. They serve the best cooked breakfast we had during our stay. Lunch and dinner were equally impressive. I highly recommend the Indian dishes, especially the Tandoori Chicken and Masala Crab. All meals were served hot and fresh. Whether you are looking for big meals or just snacks like the Masala French Fries. This is the ideal place to go. There is a good selection of hot and cold beverages. All cutlery and crockery is clean well presented.

There is good lighting for after dark visits. There is also very good road access, for those who can’t or won’t walk very far. Just short walk from the Calamari car park. Your taxi’s can drop off, and pick back up from this point.

SERVICE. On this point I can’t praise these guys enough. Especially Karan. He made friends with us day one, and from that point on there was nothing that was too much trouble. He remained the only guy to look after us our whole trip. We booked a special event night for a joint Valentines, Birthday Party,& Anniversary. He went above and beyond to make this an incredible night out on the beach. Setting up gazebo’s and candles, balloons, etc. he even arranged the lighting of the amazing fireworks we supplied for the event.

It doesn’t matter if Candolim Goa is a regular holiday destination for you or you are a first timer. You can’t go wrong if...

Staff is THIEF man ,It is worse to share our 30/12/2022 day time of visit 2:30 pm to 10 pm but I am sharing my personal experience of fisherman's Hut beach candolim plz everyone read this before going there. Don't trust them bcoz sheck staff pinku or tinku Nick named , he served us kingfisher strong beer and we were two couples .After two beer bottle we lost complete control on ourself .Me and my friend's wife took Budweiser pint .We were on doubt that it is strinking too much on our mind bcoz we took beer regular. At last he billed us 11 kingfisher beer but we were not able to drunk 6 of them. Sheck manager checked the video but they were shure that we have not taken 11 beer . Manager didn't took any step for his staff. Pinku or tinku nicknamed who served us for the first time planned the complete game . When he first served the beer I am sure he put sedative inside the bottle and planned to stole our belongings. He succeeded also we slept on bed after loosing control and he stole my phone.I am requesting the owner to check the video and punish them and I am challenging them that I am right.pinku or tinku whatever the name uske alaawa kisi ki okaat nhi ki raat ko table se mera phone uthaa ke .Uske alawa koi aaya nhi hamari table ke pass. Owner of fisherman u should check this out. Your place is best to visit but we have this bad memories. John's Fisherman's Hut Shack is an excellent beach shack located at the far end of the beach next to the Calamari Shack. Unlike many other Shacks it has good facilities. Toilets are always spotlessly clean with separate ladies and Gents. It has proper enclosed showering facilities and separate changing room.

The Waiter's Tinker, Dave and Parakash are all very friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you. You'll be assured of a warm welcome and to be well looked after.

The food is cooked by chefs Ravi and Pulin and is some of the best shack food I've eaten here in Candolim all prepared fresh not frozen out of a packet. Favourites from the menu for us were  the home made spicy potato wedges and onion rings these are a must. Spicy Hakka Noodles and half a Tandoori Chicken super tasty For those of you like more European fare there's a choice of Pizza's I can personally recommend the Farmhouse as the veggie option. and chicken Tikka Pizza for the meat eaters lovely thin crispy crust better than Papa John's Also great toasted sandwiches and the classic fish fingers Full selection of hot and cold beverages I can recommend the banana lassi. During the day the shack is peaceful and relaxing, plenty of sunbeds and shade, as sunset approachs tables and chairs are put out on the beach and music goes on so you get the best of both worlds..
