I recently had the pleasure of dining at goan hut shack and it truly exceeded all expectations.
Food: The food was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, bursting with fresh ingredients and rich flavors. I particularly recommend the crab masala and red snapper which was cooked to perfection. The balance of flavors was impeccable, and you could tell that the chef takes pride in every dish.
Staff: The staff were welcoming, attentive, and professional. They ensured that we had everything we needed without being overbearing, and their knowledge of the menu and wine pairings added a personalized touch to our experience.
Owner: The owner was incredibly gracious and took the time to speak with guests. You can tell they are passionate about creating a top-notch dining experience, and their presence really elevates the entire atmosphere of the place.
Ambiance: The ambiance was cozy yet elegant, with a tasteful interior that blends modern and rustic elements. Soft lighting, comfortable seating, and beautiful decor made for an inviting and relaxing environment. It was the perfect setting for both a casual meal and a special occasion.
Service: Service was prompt and flawless. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, and we never had to wait long for anything. It’s clear that values its customers and strives for excellence in every aspect.
Sunset View: One of the highlights of the experience was watching the sunset from the patio. The view was breathtaking, adding an extra layer of magic to the evening. It's an ideal spot for a romantic dinner or simply enjoying nature’s beauty while savoring delicious food.

Read moreGoan hut beach shack is a great place to chill by the beach with good food and drinks. They have many sun loungers along the beach at the front of the cafe. Best to order some drinks and some food to use the sun loungers, otherwise there's a token fee of around 200 rupees for the use of them.
Drinks are refreshing and there are many choices of them. From juices to sodas to mocktails, cocktails, beers and hare liquor. It's all here.
Similar for food, from pastas to Indian. It is all here also.
Take a swim, drink, relax on the lounges, order some food... And repeat.
.... On our subsequent visits, for dinner, the service was exceptional. The staff are very attentive, friendly, and warm. They are also very helpful in helping you feel comfortable in seating selection and deciding dishes from the extensive menu. We opted for the local Goan masala Prawn in full local spice level, cooked in the Tandoor.. It was not overtly hot though had a great punchy flavour that matched the delicate flavour of the prawns. The staff showed us the different prawns on offer and mentioned the price for each type. The Goan calamari chilli was cooked to perfection. The calamari was Tender and had a good mix of vegetables. Another standout dish was the watermelon and feta salad. The feta was home made and the saltiness made it very refreshing with the sweetness of the watermelon. Chapatti was light and soft. There was no Goan Babinka available in this late evening as it was sold out, however we were assured that it would be made fresh in the morning and they asked us if we would be back to sample it. Of course!
Goan Hut Beach Shack is a wonderful place to chill over a meal and savour the ocean view and experience.
There is also a good mix of Indian and other types of music to set the...

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Rude owner Cold and stale food Bad service Overpriced
So we went to this beach shack on our third day in Goa having had amazing experiences at other beach shacks. We were a group of 8 with a mix of adults and kids (travelling from UK and Delhi).
We ordered a number of items and were surprised at just bad everything was.
The Cashews (that Goa is famous for) were all shrivelled up and tiny ..
The Szechuan sauce with chicken lollipop was a joke as it was just chilli flakes mixed in some random sauce!
And then the fish tikka arrived luke warm and naan came floppy and stale (along with warm (not hot) chicken curry and blandest Thai chicken curry!). So we decided to speak to the manager who just didn’t care at all and was extremely defensive and demeaning… her best excuse was the food gets cold coming from kitchen to the table to which we said that we have been eating at beach shacks daily and the food is always piping hot. To which she said that we were fussy and the food was warm - and to prove her point she poked her bare finger into our fish tikka and also held the chicken pot in her hands (quite comfortably) and said it felt warm - which was exactly what we were saying .. that it’s warm and not hot!
I said to her that we hadn’t come there for the intention of complaining and she should try and listen to what her customers are saying she was flippant and downright rude to us!
We could have walked off without paying but we decided to pay for food and drinks but the woman did not have the courtesy to apologise or to try and make us feel any better … they even had the audacity to heat up the same fish tikka that she had poked her finger into and send it to our table ! Which we fed the street...
