Haya Restaurant – more like Behaya Restaurant
My visit here was nothing short of a comedy show (minus the laughter). I had ordered chicken momo (steamed) and noodles. The momo arrived looking as if a mouse had hosted a party inside it—the torn maida covering made the stuffing peek through like it was begging to escape (see pics for reference). Honestly, it looked like “already tasted and recycled food.” Naturally, I returned it.
The noodles? Imagine Haldiram’s sev bhujia, too yellow, broken, and flavorless—that’s exactly what landed on my plate. I also tried the mix noodles which, to be fair, had plenty of chicken and prawns, but unfortunately, abundance doesn’t equal taste.
I thought maybe the shakes would redeem them, but oh no—their offer was a scam in disguise. "Buy 2 shakes, get 1 free" sounded tempting, until I realized it’s only valid if you buy the same two flavors and then get another glass of the same. Genius marketing, zero common sense.
The regular water served came in a jug with dirt marks of previous meals—a delightful garnish, I suppose. The only saving grace was the guy at the shake counter, who at least seemed human. The rest of the staff looked like school kids standing on punishment—expressionless, stiff, and completely unbothered.
To top it all, while we dined, one waiter stormed out screaming because someone unplugged his phone from charging. Nothing like live soap opera drama while eating soulless noodles.
The entire place reeks of a tourist trap—fancy food photos to lure first-timers who they know won’t return. The so-called Bengali cuisine listed on their menu? Don’t even think about it.
I’m not sure if the owner is unaware of these circus acts or simply too busy shopping for luxury cars thinking he’s already hit the jackpot. But unless he seriously overhauls this mess, loss is imminent.
Haya? No. This place is...

I’ve travelled across India — over 20 cities and 11+ states — but the food quality and staff behaviour at this place were unbelievably bad. No guest should have to go through what we experienced. The food was served raw — something even a rookie shouldn’t mess up. It was completely bland, and the staff’s behaviour was just as disappointing: rude, unprofessional, and totally lacking basic courtesy.
For a place that serves food, they seriously need to rethink how they operate. If they continue like this, I can’t see anyone having a good experience here. Food is a basic human need, and no one deserves this kind of treatment.
What really shocked me was the total lack of empathy. I gave my feedback politely and calmly, but it felt like they just didn’t care. Honestly, it seemed like all they cared about was money — not customer satisfaction. We felt like walking ATMs to them — come in, pay, and leave.
I’m not someone who wastes food, but this was simply unbearable. I had to leave the food on the table, paid the bill, gave them my honest feedback, and walked out. Truly...
Read moreI went to this restaurant and ordered a Mysore masala dosa and it was amazing. The dosa was really huge and full of flavor and the masala inside was so tasty. I felt full and happy after finishing it. The service was also very nice and the waiter was friendly and polite. I would recommend this place if you want good food and a warm atmosphere.
The next day I ordered Haya Special Dosa - the long one, the biggest dosa in my life!
