Marc Brown - Cake Shop & Bakery — Restaurant in Goa

Collin and I was on a five day holiday break in Goa during the first week of March, 2025. We were from Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia . We stayed at the Panaji Residency Hotel . Usually , we will look out for a nice , cosy cafe to relax , chat in comfort with the facilities provided by the Cafe . We were so fortunate to find a wonderful place on the Ground Floor of the Hotel itself , Marc Brown Cake & Bakery Cafe . They had a complete menu of cakes, food and drinks that we loved so much that we usually eat and drink . I would suggest to those new travellers or tourists to look at their Menu on Google so that they don’t miss out on those tasty and delicious cakes , bread , food and drinks they have in their Cafe . I find the price very reasonable. I had sometimes Americano or Cappuccino and some cakes . One of the lady customers asked me to try their signature Serradura when I was looking to order some cakes. But it was not my cup of tea. At least I tried it to know the actual taste . It was too creamy for my liking . Sheldon , a cheerful staff working there was so helpful , friendly and hospitable providing us excellent service . Servicing the customers with pleasant smiles and making them happy meant everything to him . Yes , we were happy too . We went there every night because of his friendly and hospitable service towards us added with the good array of food , cakes and drinks on the menu . He also recommended some signature menu items including the popular Ferrero Rocher Cake . It was tasty 👅. Thumbs up for his recommendation. We spent every night at this cafe after we returned from our daily trips as it was cosy to sit outside the cafe , relax and have our drinks, cakes or snacks and have our fellowship time before we retired to the hotel next door . One of the highlights of my visit was their Black Forest Cake. The layers of chocolate sponge, fresh cream, and cherries were perfectly balanced, making each bite rich and satisfying. You can tell that they use high-quality ingredients, and the flavors are just right—not overly sweet, but indulgent enough to leave a lasting impression.

Apart from desserts, they also serve some great savory options. I tried their Veg Puff, and it was flaky, crisp, and filled with a deliciously spiced vegetable stuffing. Another great pick was the Pineapple Pastry, which had a light, airy texture with just the right amount of sweetness.

The service here is warm and friendly, making the experience even better. The staff is attentive and ensures that every customer is well taken care of. Hygiene and cleanliness are well-maintained, adding to the overall comfort of dining here.

Marc brown has started 9 different flavours of cake sundaes that range from the basic ones like mango, strawberry, vanilla and also features mocha, fudge brownie, red velvet etc.

The sundaes comes in two different sizes, Medium and Large for the price of Rs 150 & Rs 300 respectively.

Once you place the order, they make them right infront of you and all that pouring and drizzling is such a treat to watch
