A group of three friends that are obssed with the japanese culture and food led to finding this cafe in panjim!
I take my obsession with matcha very seriously! hence we opted to try their new addition the matcha mooncakes and to pair with it a bowl of Vanilla Gelato.
The Vanilla Gelato was nice and subtle to my pallet and was not at all heavy. The vanilla flavour was not overpowering and overall a very refreshing gelato for the humid weather of Goa. The portion served was value for money.
Coming to the mooncake as a personal opinion, it didnt quiet meet my expectations due to a few reasons:
If you are looking for a new cafe for a solo exploration adventure or a freinds get together this place has the...
Read moreI visited this cafe last week in Panjim, Goa. It's located in a quiet corner at Fontainhas, the capital of Panjim’s Latin quarter. A cozy little cafe that stands true to its name : TEAL. You'll find the interiors beautifully done up in this gorgeous colour palette. They have an indoor + outdoor garden seating area, where you will be served in the most cutest teal coloured crockery. I tried out the braised chicken salad which was f** amazing! The cheese ham french toast was top notch. Ended the meal with a delicious dark chocolate with sea salt cookie. Unfortunately I had limited time at hand but would love to go back here & try out the rest of their dishes. The owner/chef Abeer is the sweetest you will find there. She ensures your visit to the cafe is to perfection. The barista guy Harsh will make you one of the best lattés so don't forget to grab a cup. They are pet friendly & also have a free co-working setup. Drop by for a change of work environment or just to meet some nice people. Wifi speed here is great! Apart from hosting fun events here, they also promote other small business at the cafe. Teal Cafe is definitely a place you don't want to miss out on during your Goa Trip. :) Check it...
Read moreThis is not a complaint, it is advice. Please do not misunderstand ‼️🥺🥺 I am a Japanese national and visited this cafe towards the end of my trip because I missed Japanese food. The atmosphere and staff are very nice and the restrooms are clean and perfect. However, as a Japanese, let me give you some advice about the food😣 First of all, I am a vegetarian and asked the female staff if they had any recommendations. I was recommended to order the "Teishoku?" and ordered it. The food looked great. However, it was my first time to try jackfruit and the smell and sticky texture was too much for me to handle. I ordered a bowl of noodles( Soba) I was very surprised at the soba noodles. What a surprise: green curry with soba noodles! It was a combination that Japanese would never have thought of, and I felt it was a great mismatch.
The café has many options for vegetarians as well. I would like to go back next time if this menu is improved (^^) Thank...
