Palms n Sands Restobar, Candolim: A Tropical Oasis of Flavors and Vibes Nestled in the heart of Candolim, North Goa, Palms n Sands Restobar is a vibrant culinary and social haven that effortlessly blends Goan charm with a laid-back beachside vibe. With its prime location just moments away from the iconic Candolim Beach, this restobar has become a favorite among locals and travelers seeking a memorable dining experience paired with stunning sunsets, lively ambience, and a menu that celebrates coastal flavors. Ambiance & Setting The moment you step into Palms n Sands, you’re greeted by a breezy, tropical aesthetic. The open-air setup, adorned with bamboo accents, thatched roofs, and fairy lights, creates a relaxed yet energetic atmosphere. Whether you’re seated under the shade of palm trees or at the rustic wooden tables, the sound of waves in the distance and the occasional live music performance enhance the quintessential Goan vibe. The restobar’s strategic layout ensures that every corner feels intimate, making it ideal for romantic dinners, family gatherings, or casual hangouts with friends. Culinary Highlights The menu at Palms n Sands is a delightful fusion of Goan classics and global comfort food. Seafood takes center stage, with dishes like Grilled Kingfish, Prawn Balchão (a spicy, tangy curry), and Butter Garlic Squid stealing the show. Their Goan Fish Thali—a platter of rice, fish curry, veggies, and pickles—is a must-try for those craving authenticity. For non-seafood lovers, options like tender Pork Vindaloo, succulent chicken steaks, and wood-fired pizzas cater to diverse palates. Pair your meal with their signature cocktails—think Kokum Mojitos, Feni-based concoctions, or classic margaritas—or opt for a chilled beer to beat the Goan heat. Service & Hospitality What truly elevates the experience is the warm, attentive service. The staff strikes a perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness, offering recommendations without being intrusive. Whether you’re a solo traveler or part of a group, their hospitality makes you feel like a regular. Sunset Sessions & Nightlife As the day transitions to evening, Palms n Sands transforms into a lively hub. The sunset views here are magical, with the sky painted in hues of orange and pink. Post-sundown, the restobar buzzes with energy—live bands, DJs, or acoustic performers often take the stage, creating a festive vibe without overwhelming the space. It’s the kind of place where you can dance barefoot in the sand or enjoy a quiet conversation under the stars. Value for Money Portions are generous, and prices are reasonable for the quality and location. A meal for two with drinks typically ranges between ₹1,500–₹2,500, making it accessible for both budget-conscious travelers and those looking to splurge. Final Verdict Palms n Sands Restobar excels in delivering a holistic Goan experience—great food, refreshing drinks, stellar service, and an ambience that captures the spirit of coastal India. Whether you’re here for a lazy lunch, sunset cocktails, or a lively dinner, this spot promises a memorable time. Just don’t forget to book a table during peak season, as its popularity is well-deserved! Rating: 4.5/5 Perfect For: Couples, groups, seafood enthusiasts, and sunset chasers. Pro Tip: Visit during happy hour (usually 4–7 PM) for discounted drinks and the best seats to watch the sun dip into the Arabian Sea. A visit to Palms n Sands isn’t just a meal—it’s a slice of Goa you’ll want to revisit again and again.

Set back from all the other beach huts and sat high on a mezzanine deck to enjoy the luscious views of the sea and sunset. Unspoiled view anc very modern, clean, fresh facilities. You are welcomed in the day time in swimwear for refreshments or lunch. Cons, Yazu beach is next door where the sound is loud, if peace and quiet is needed then ask for a table near to agaua fort. It didn't bother our stay and we don't mind listening. Expensively priced for Goa, but your are paying for quality seating, fresh toilets, and the nice upkeep of the building and the best views of the sea and sunset. If a beach hut is all you require then you don't need to venture here. However if you need a special treat for the evening then this brings you back up as you feel the quality and fine detail of the building. We managed lots of cocktails, tequila, the most expensive items on ghe menu, starters, mains deserts, more alcoholic drinks, finished off on brandys and the bill was £100 british pounds. Weigh that option up to the uk and it was relatively cheap. Yes you could get lobster for less than half priced at other venues, but we certainly preferred paying for the view and romantic views of the sunset. Pros, Views 5 star Facilities 5 star Food 3-4 star Night time the lighting brings this to an amazing top restaurant to visit 5 star. Taste of the drinks 5 star Priced higher than other restaurants, you pay more for a mercedes than you do for a renault, such is life, quality and luxury is your thing then eat here. If you don't mind beach huts with cheaper chairs and no soap to wash your hands then you can understand the lesser priced. In life you have to pay to enjoy the luxuries in life. Overall, Really enjoyed the whole experience from the day and the evening, would higjly recommend visiting this restaurant. Don't hesitate to spend some of ghat hard earnt cash. It has brought our holiday enjoyment back up, a highlight of Goa.

we went in as a group for dinner about 10 of us. we walked down the stairs to the beach where they had set us up in a weird L shaped configuration. We asked to move to a more traditional rectangle which allowed for better community and interaction they had also tucked us into a section of the beach where we were right up against a wall and next to the other establishment to the point where the music from the other establishment overwhelmed the discussion at our table. There were clearly better tables for 2nor 4 people that were given much better access to the view and the beach. it was a judgement call by the owners but if they had given us a more favorable position on the beach we would have likely spent more money than all the couples combined... but like I said a judgement call by the restaurant management. the next concern was the service. there was little coordination to how orders were taken and there was no warmth to the servers. it was very businesslike. drinks came out haphazardly but it's a large group so ok. we had 1 person take control of the ordering of the food so it would be less chaotic, but even then it we had a couple of late orders with 1 king fish taking over 1 hour to arrive. we wound up getting into an argument with the mgmt and not paying for that fish. by then we were tired, the food was not great even the ones that we got and we were being attacked by mosquitoes. the staff tried to help us out with mosquito coils but it was too little too late. all in all very mediocre experience. I woukd very strongly recommend going to calamari which is just a few restaurants over. Much nicer experience

Summary: This restaurant has potential but misses the mark on ambience, service, and food quality. The dim lighting and lack of music affected the atmosphere, while the untrained wait staff caused confusion and slow service. The food was inconsistent; while some dishes were passable, others had serious issues with flavor balance. Improvements in staff training, communication, menu focus, and ambience could make a big difference.

Review: As a business owner myself, I feel feedback is essential to a business’s success, so I hope you take this seriously and work on it.

Ambience — The atmosphere didn’t match the photos on Google. It was dark, dimly lit, and there was barely any music. The vibe was disappointing.

Service — A real letdown. The waiters seemed clueless. For example, they didn’t know what they were serving, which confused everyone about who ordered what. They even brought someone else’s dish to our table by mistake. Whenever we asked about our dish, they looked lost, showing a clear lack of communication between the staff that led to mistakes and slow service.

Food — I ordered the dynamite prawns and beef stroganoff. The prawns were cooked well, but the sauce was overly salty; it was manageable if I didn’t take too much. The beef stroganoff, however, was completely bland with no salt. I don’t usually complain, but this was frustrating. I asked for a salt shaker, and even that didn’t work. They eventually replaced it, and though the salt was a bit much, I ate it because I was hungry.

My parents had king fish in recheado masala and butter poi, which they liked, so it’s not all bad. But if your specialty is seafood, why add other dishes if they’re hit-or-miss? This place is also quite expensive, so consistency should be a priority.

Overall, I believe this place can do well if they fix the issues I mentioned. Train your waiters better, improve staff communication, work on the chef’s understanding of simple things like salt balance (harsh but necessary), add more lighting, consider some live music, and focus the menu on quality instead of quantity.

I understand that you can’t please everyone in the service industry, and I happened to be that person yesterday. I won’t be returning because no one wants their vacation night to end this way, but I wish you the best and hope you improve for...
