Read moreSome amazing food and at the same time unconventional dishes at @peppersgoa Pepper Gourmet Cuisine, Pajifond, Margao. Reached here thanks to Google maps and my guts feelings that good food awaits me here. A very Indo-Portuguese interiors, with may be one or two tables for outdoor dining experience. As soon as you enter the aroma or the fried fish grips your smell senses making you hungry if you weren't really till you reached there. They have their specials for the season like what we tried the Thai style fried duck. The Flavour were good but a bit dry though. If you are not really keen on eating meat with Bones then don't go for it. We totally skipped to ask about boneless meat and ended up struggling to eat the meat with 60 percent of the bones in the dish costing 650/-. But the Chinese style roast chicken made up for the little disappointment we faced with the first one. This roast chicken was yum, specially the vinaigrette accompanied by mixed purple cabbage salad. We were left licking our fingers and wanting more. Tried Thai chilli butter garlic squid which had this creamy buttery taste with a hint of chilli after taste. Truely tickled our glands. We couldn't leave the place without trying their very famous serradura dessert. This was the best till date that we have tried in Goa. The perfect consistency, not too sweet, just enough to make us agree to what they say 'belly rules the mind and the soul'. Definitely visiting the place again to try another East meets West dish the Thai chilli chicken Biryani which definitely gets me...
Read moreWe spent quite a bit of time searching for a good restaurant nearby, and unfortunately, luck wasn’t on our side. At first, the restaurant seemed promising ambiance was decent, and though the prices were on the higher side, we decided to give it a shot.
Initially, the waiter was polite, but as time passed, his attitude shifted, becoming somewhat rude. Still, we tried to focus on enjoying our meal. When we requested the food to be served, the waiter casually remarked, "You already have a spoon in the food." It felt awkward because, in most restaurants, serving food is standard, especially when it's hot. Since the food had just arrived, we naturally expected assistance.
To make things stranger, they only provided forks—no spoons. Finding it odd, we ended up using the biryani spoon, which made eating a bit of a struggle. It felt uncomfortable to ask again, so we just managed as best as we could.
But the most bizarre part of the experience came at the end. While making the payment via Swiggy Dineout, the server, without asking, took my phone to check the transaction. That was outright rude and intrusive. I was shocked who does that?
Overall, the experience was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant in Madgaon. If you're looking for better quality and reasonable prices, Panjim is definitely a...
