Negative Review for [panjabi kitchen]
I had one of the most disappointing dining experiences at panjabi restauran, and I feel compelled to share my feedback to caution others. It was truly an experience marred by unprofessional behavior, subpar food quality, and poor service. Based on this visit, I strongly recommend avoiding this establishment altogether.

Poor Service from Waitstaff
From the moment we entered, the service was unacceptable. The behavior of the waitstaff, especially the busboy, was shockingly bad. They were rude, inattentive, and completely indifferent to the needs of the diners. Requests for water or additional condiments were either ignored or fulfilled after repeated reminders, and their attitude reflected a lack of basic courtesy.
At one point, a simple query about the menu seemed to annoy them. Instead of providing helpful recommendations or clarifications, they acted as if we were an inconvenience. The level of unprofessionalism in their behavior made it clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for this restaurant.
Delayed Service and Wrong Orders
Another major issue was the extraordinary delay in service. After placing our order, it took an unreasonably long time for the food to arrive. Despite the restaurant not being overly crowded, the wait was over 45 minutes for dishes that were neither complex nor freshly prepared. When the food finally arrived, it was incorrect—orders were mixed up, and we received items we hadn’t even requested. This lack of organization and attention to detail was frustrating.
Subpar Food Quality
The biggest disappointment was the food itself. The dishes were poorly prepared, lacked flavor, and were far from fresh. Ingredients tasted stale, and the presentation was uninspiring. For instance:
The vegetables in the salad were wilted and not crisp.
The main course was overly salty and lacked balance.
The bread served was stale, and when we pointed it out, there was no effort to replace it or offer an apology.
Given the prices on the menu, I had expected at least decent quality, but the food fell far short of even basic expectations.
Unhygienic Conditions
To make matters worse, the cleanliness of the restaurant was questionable. The table was sticky, and there were visible crumbs from previous diners. The cutlery provided was not properly cleaned, and we had to request replacements multiple times. The restrooms were in a similarly unsanitary condition, which added to the overall disappointment of the visit.
Lack of Accountability
What was even more frustrating was the management's response. When we tried to address these issues with the manager, their response was dismissive. Instead of taking accountability or offering solutions, they brushed off our concerns and made no effort to rectify the situation. Such an attitude reflects poorly on the establishment and its commitment to providing a positive dining experience.
Overall Experience
In summary, my experience was nothing short of a disaster. The combination of:
Rude and inattentive staff
Poorly prepared and substandard food
Unhygienic conditions
Delayed service and incorrect orders
Management's dismissive attitude
...makes this a place I would strongly advise others to avoid. Dining out is meant to be an enjoyable and relaxing experience, but this visit was anything but that.
Recommendation: Do Not Visit
I cannot stress enough how much I regret choosing this restaurant. If you value good service, quality food, and a pleasant atmosphere, this is not the place for you. Instead, spend your hard-earned money at a place where customers are treated with respect, and the food lives up to expectations.
To anyone considering visiting, I strongly suggest exploring other options. There are far better restaurants in the area where your time, money, and appetite will be appreciated.
In conclusion,is an establishment that has completely lost my trust and respect. A dining experience should never be this frustrating or...
Read moreDear friends it's gonna be long review..so plz bear with me.. Being from Punjab I know what Punjabi food is..they are just making fool of people!! It's totally opposite what Punjabi food is.. Punjabi food is all about love and compassion..people in Punjab cook to get praise and admiration from guest..We here don't serve to earn..we just love to see happy people when they eat there food !!
So coming back to this Punjabi kitchen ..it's very easy to say it's one of the worst place to have food in GOA!! They are just making fool of people by serving food full of red chilli powder!!
We ordered
yellow dal tadka Paneer tikka masala Tawa veg Boondi raita (We even ordered for tea and it was duly denied by waiter first and then by owner himself,he said baaju waale thele se Lelo!!)
To sum it up..even raita had red chillies beyond level of tolerance!!(there is no need to tell about other dishes which were disasterous)
Now coming on to other part of restuarant
SERVICE waiters behaviour was such jaldi se order Karo aur khaao aur jaaao.. When I asked him why you are using so much of chillies in every dish .he simply said Punjabi food is all about chillies and spices.. I was like Punjab aao firr baat karenge what Punjabi food is!!
AMBIENCE
Typical road side dhaba with no cleanliness.. Utensils were wet as they were recently washed and were stinking..We had to wipe them off with paper napkins(which were again of very bad quality and smelling differently)
Coming to WASHROOM
Stinking badly with no lach on door!! Floor was all wet And there was no proper lightning in there!! (Pic uploaded)
So coming to conclusions!!
I am not sure who is rating this restuarant so highly at this platform!! This restuarant doesn't even deserve 1 STAR!!
I hope Google take notice of this review and see there policies of how to rate these kinds of places on there platform as we were fooled by the rating on GOOGLE...
Read moreMy recent visit to Punjabi Kitchen in Goa was a huge letdown. We ordered Paneer Tikka Masala, Kaju Curry, and Veg Pulav, but the food was just not up to the mark. The Paneer Tikka Masala was ridiculously spicy, it was like they just dumped a ton of chilies in it. The Kaju Curry was bland and tasteless, it didn't even have that rich creamy flavor that I expect from a good kaju curry. And to top it all off, when we asked for buttermilk, they served it warm! I was shocked, who serves warm buttermilk? It's supposed to be a refreshing drink, not something that's just lukewarm. When we pointed out the mistake to the owner MR.KAILASH, they seemed pretty nonchalant about it and told us that we should have specified that we wanted it cold. Honestly, it's not rocket science, buttermilk is supposed to be cold. Overall, our experience at Punjabi Kitchen was the worstever disappointing and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone...... if you care about your money please don't come here ..... because I want to give the rating in minus but there is no option to give it ....they are very rude in nature even MR. KAILASH said use that if your don't like our food than its your problem that you don't like food, if you want spicy than nobody can it without milk but use should told them that it should be cold milk otherwise they will serve you warm milk and for that they will comment that you should ordered cold milk with ICE so you can eat your ordered SPICY FOOD and I don't have any other words to explain this .......so PLEASE DON'T GO THERE. You can find nice vadapav roadside which is more convenient to eat veg food other than this. Because you can't eat 10%of your expended...
