We were craving to try the Shravan thali as it was Shravan time. patoloes, mangane…wahh! and we were looking for a good place which offered both Shravan as well as fish thali and to our suprise I must say Surboos did the justice to both these thalis. Shravan thali was spot on and it had all our favourite local Goan dishes which are hard to find otherwise and now a days no one has the time to do it due to our busy schedule.
It had mangane, sweet dish made with dal, jaggery, pataoloe made with coconut chun, jaggery wrapped with turmeric leaf and many other authentic side dishes. The dal and rice were totally flavourful. We thoroughly enjoyed everything on the thali and totally satisfied our cravings 😋
The chonak thali was superb and the highlight here was the chonak rawa fried, first of all the size of this fillet was massive even bigger than my palm and it was very fresh and melted in my mouth. The prawn curry was very flavourful and tasty too. We tried butter garlic calamary and prawns dangar again a local Goan dish mostly made in Goan houses and both the dishes scored a perfect 10/10.
We also enjoyed the refreshing mocktail, do try their cocktails and mocktails...they really make some good stuff here.
We recommend Shravan Thali - 240 /- Chonak Thali - 320/- Butter garlic calamary/squid - 400/- Prawns Dangar - 450/- Blue Lagoon- 250/- Peoples Beer - 140/-
Apart from this there are so many other dishes you can explore. In the evening and for the dinner they serve so many fantastic dishes like kebabs, tandoor like I can go on and on.

After finishing our meal, we informed the waitress to bring the bill. We waited patiently, even as new customers started coming in and tables were being occupied. However, it took nearly 20 minutes to get the bill, and only after I reminded another waiter—who took another 10 minutes and then surprisingly came to ask if we still hadn’t received the bill. Eventually, I had to go to the counter myself to make the payment.
To my shock, I noticed that the restaurant had charged 22% VAT on the lime soda, which is not legally valid. Under Indian tax law, VAT has been subsumed under GST since 2017, and non-alcoholic beverages like lime soda are subject to 5% or 18% GST, not 22% VAT. This is a clear case of overcharging. Overall disappointed with the...
Read moreIt was the only restaurant which was open late at night which could provide vegetarian options. But it was worth visiting this restaurant , people are good , service is really good , food is mesmorising. Ambions is sweet and nice some unexpectedly good things happened over there. We and our friend visited with or 1 and 2 yrs old kids. We wanted to have some milk for kids but the way they help us in that situation that to at 1 am was really remarkable. Mr. John phernandies is very helpful alert and pilolite man.
Even thought we visited near their closing time they were happily serving , we didn't feel like they just want to serve and close it as quickly as possible. They are very patient and happy face people. Cleanliness and hygiene was also at point. As a woman I was happy about this.
