THE FOODY GOANS restaurant, run by Ajgaonkar family in Campal very close to Kala Academy.

Pravin and his mom are the main chef's behind this flavourful thali and Ranjana manages everything very well. This trio works together to serve fresh, home cooked food to everyone. Their Moto "Eat Well...Live Well" is a perfect example of how we locals cherish our staple food here in Goa.

Pravin is an absolute example to his generation. He has completed his course in hotel management and also had been offered a good job at a reputed 5 star hotel in Panjim but instead he chose self employment and along with his Mom and Sister started this beautiful restaurant.

We loved each and every dish we ordered and the weather was a cherry on top of the cake.

Tried out a local restaurant offering a range of Goan fish thalis starting at just ₹140 – a great budget-friendly option for seafood lovers. The interiors give a nice Goan vibe with simple touches that reflect the local culture, making it a pleasant spot to sit and eat.

The thali I had included rice, Goan fish curry, fried fish, a dry fish preparation, salad, pickle, and solkadi – a complete and filling meal. I went for the Kingfish Thali, which was decent, but honestly, I expected a bit more in terms of flavour and portion for the price.

One thing I really enjoyed though was the lime water – super refreshing and well-balanced.
