The Village Bistro - Arpora — Restaurant in Goa

What a weird experience,sorry to say ,even after calling them and informing them about reserving a table ( which was actually not needed since the place was empty) anyways we were greeted by we serve “European Food “ even before entering as if we didn’t know that ,our favourite musicians play there so we decided to try out this place ,sorry to say never felt so unwelcome ,very subtly though ,now coming to the food ,ordered Golden fry prawns since it was written on the board but were advised to go for chicken on skewers instead since they obviously didn’t want to cook anything,which came in precisely five minutes,taste was ok ,then came the fish which was quite nice ,served on a blob of mashed potatoes ( they were good ) the big fat capsicums and cauliflowers served on the side were not and the sauce tasted only of butter ,couldn’t have that after a bite ,the chicken with the mushroom was just about ok ,got that packed and didn’t even have dessert since we were being given such weird vibes ,and yes the menu they gave us had black fungus on it ,actually ran from there ,the menu on the reviews is very different from what was shown to us ,maybe they want to work only at night and afternoons is for the servers to sit on the table and drive...

While vacationing in North Goa we found this Gem called the Village Bistro in Arpora. OMG what an amazing experience we had. As soon as you enter you can feel the fresh and cool Goa breeze enter the restaurant. On most nights they have famous Goan live bands playing so you can enjoy listening to talented musicians while eating. To top things off their executive Chef Kenny also sings and is known around as the singing Chef. Kenny has created a unique menu with a spin on fusion type Goan cuisine as well as western cuisine. We tried his sizzling ribs, chorizo pau, goa sausage pulau, amuse bouche poori’s, beef croquettes and chicken pepper steak. All dishes were chef kiss quality with 5 star rating. When in this restaurant you truly feel that vacation vibe. Service is top notch !! Shout out to Derek and the rest of the staff.
