Aura - Gateway Ahmedabad Sindhu Bhavan Road — Restaurant in Gujarat

Tables were booked in advance. Our attendance was confirmed and reconfirmed 3 times. All veg and non-veg items on the menu were promised to be available. Everyone came on time. We ordered within 10 mins of our arrival. However, it took them up to 45mins in some cases to deliver the food. We were not told that it would take such a long time. And the strangest part was that some dishes like pizza arrived much earlier than prawns. Usually, a 5* restaurant of a well-reputed hotel would inform you if the dish was taking over 15-20mins to prepare. I cannot imagine why would "grilled" prawns or soup that's on the menu take over 45mins to prepare?! While taking the order the waiter asked if the GRILLED PRAWS should be dry or in gravy (hmm, weird, but ok), and when they arrived, both dishes were soaked in something wet, not even close to grill. Any order would take forever with at least 2-3 reminders. And they argue! "Indian" is fast to serve, but "Continental" takes time. Seriously?! Anything declared on the menu should be served within 10-15mins unless stated otherwise. It takes a max of 10min to make mashed potato at home! So why a restaurant takes longer? Food quality is so-so. Not worth the wait and the price tag! Is this a 5* MARRIOTT?!?! Total disgrace to the brand. Everyone there should be sent to an extensive training. Atmosphere non-existent, no music, no interesting decor. Felt like an average cafeteria. No next...

Food is tasteless and if you ask to make it as per your taste bud (indian taste) they will put lot of salt and garlic in it. Food options they have shown in their insta videos and google pictures are way more than what they actually offer. I and my family felt like we dont have anything to eat there We had a lot of expections from Marriott but not a single penny was worth spending there, we went for a family dinner and we literally did not had anything. service is ok atmosphere is also ok not that great

I recently had an unfortunate dining experience at the Marriott restaurant that left me thoroughly disappointed. From the welcome drink to the starters and the main course, every aspect of the meal was a letdown. The welcome drink lacked flavor and seemed hastily put together, setting a disappointing tone for the evening. The starters were uninspiring, lacking the creativity and quality one would expect from a renowned establishment. The main course continued the trend, with dishes that were underwhelming in both taste and presentation. The overall experience was compounded by the fact that it occurred during a family dinner, making the disappointment more palpable. I thought Aura by Marriott will be a good place for fine dining in Ahmedabad but it turned out to be one of the worst experience...It was my birthday I went their with close friends for dinner and every item on buffet was bland...right from starters to main course to desserts...food was cold...roti served were cold too...the serving bowls lid on counter was not attached like in other buffet system restaurant...it became so tiring to lift fifteen lids for every dish...I was not expecting such a bad service from Marriott...I am highly disappointed they not only ruined my birthday but my mood too...when I am paying 1400 per head I expect food to be outstanding even if ambience and environment is cold...I will never recommend Aura to my family and friends...and coldness of the place begins with it's...
