We went to Capiche for brunch on 25th May, and it turned out to be one of the best brunch experiences we've had in Ahmedabad!
We were a group of four and ordered a variety of dishes to try out their menu—and everything exceeded expectations:
Coffee: Rich and smooth, served at just the right temperature. Great way to kickstart the meal.
Croissant: Buttery, flaky, and fresh—just the way a good croissant should be. Felt like something straight out of a European bakery.
Pancakes: Soft, fluffy, and well-balanced in sweetness. Served with maple syrup and fruits—simple but delicious.
Avocado Toast: This was a standout! The toast was crisp, topped with creamy, ripe avocado and seasoned beautifully. Fresh, light, and full of flavor.
Cinnamon Crunch Sandwich: This was a delightful surprise. A great mix of textures—crunchy on the outside with a sweet-spiced filling inside. Perfect for someone who enjoys unique sweet-savory flavors.
The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was thoughtful without being over the top. The ambience was calm and cozy, perfect for a relaxed brunch or catching up with friends. The staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
Would definitely recommend Capiche to anyone looking for a solid brunch spot in Ahmedabad that offers both great food and a lovely setting. Looking forward to going back and trying more...
Read moreThe ambience is average. The food is close to average. And the service is downright terrible. There was no value for money for me. The menu has been curated very tastefully, but the execution fails.
We ordered the limon linguini pasta which tasted good but unfortunately the quantity for this main course item that cost Rs. 560 without tax was, at best, four forkfuls.
Coming to the pizza, we had ordered the 11" affair pizza (and were planning to order another one after we tried out this one). It was quite average, with the crust being too burnt for my liking. I would also like to point out that there were no seasonings or olive/chilli oil on the table, and neither were they brought along with the pizza. We had to specifically ask for the oils because the pizza was too dry.
Now, before we even ordered the food, we had ordered 3 drinks. The drinks never arrived, despite several check-ins. We were there in the restaurant for close to an hour but the drinks never arrived and we finally had to cancel them. Needless to say, even though we were still hungry, we did not order any more food.
A serious upgrade on the service is needed, and the pasta portions NEED to be more generous.
I would not...
Read moreTL;DR : Compared to their Surat branch this place is absolutely disappointing, with both the food and their service.
The Butter Garlic Mushrooms were 5/5 in Surat and here it was mediocre as best, they also cheaped out on the parmesan.
Coming to the pizzas, we had had Third wave and Truffle, the flavours were bland and again they cheaped out on the mozzarella here. The very same pizzas in Surat made me go their place twice in two days. I won't be visiting Capiche Ambli again though.
The servers while polite weren't attentive attentive all and only paid attention to a few tables, the sofa wasn't cleaned properly and when we requested the staff to do so they barely wiped and left, leaving it too wet to sit on. If I was dining at a dhaba I'd find this to be acceptable.
The lasagna is served in a dish so shallow that cutting into it would make it spill over, so we asked the staff to help us with serving it. They said thy'll call someone and went off, 5 mins pass by I ask again received the same response and was kept waiting. I don't expect pizzas to be served, but the lasagna that was been served in an inconvenient shallow dish, I would have appreciated...
