Cha Hong Kong Eating House at the Palladium Mall in Ahmedabad provided a great atmosphere with dim lighting and chic decor.
With it being in the mall itself, there was limited seating; about 10 booths and 5 standard table tops it seems with some outdoor seating.
I was greeted by the hostess and seated. It took roughly about 45 minutes until someone came and asked if my order had been placed in and with the manager coming to ask shortly after what I would like to order.
I ordered the Tuna Nigiri, Har Gow, Chicken & Shrimp Siu Mai, and the Steamed Shrimp Chueng Fun.
Presentation of each dish was great. The Tuna Nigiri tasted very light with no fishy taste to it. The Har Gow came out piping hot and was cooked great with the casing not falling apart and tasting to gelatinous. However, it did seem to miss water chestnuts within it. It tasted great nonetheless. The Chicken & Shrimp Siu Mai had a great depth of flavor and was juicy. The menu did indicate that is would be provided with a tangy broth that unfortunately did not receive. The Steamed Shrimp Cheung Fun could do some work. The noodle itself was great, however the shrimp did seem to be the same consistency as the Har Gow filling, which I am not used to as it would just be the steamed shrimp itself. Was not my favorite.
The food overall was good. I would come again to try the rest of the menu. Service was very disappointing and unfortunate. With the count of staff for a small restaurant, there should have been more commutation and attentiveness to the customers. Service goes a long way and plays a huge role in the...

Visited this restaurant yesterday with my 4 friends, and honestly, the experience was quite disappointing.
The food was decent, but the chicken was a bit chewy, which was not expected. What really made the visit unpleasant, though, was the staff’s attitude and service. When we asked to sit at a table we liked (which was completely empty and ready, with no reservation sign), the staff rudely told us to sit somewhere else without any explanation.
Another incident, when my friend went to the receptionist just to ask about their closing time, she literally walked away, leaving him standing there for a one-second question. That really shows a lack of basic courtesy and professionalism.
We also had to wait quite a while to place our order because no one seemed attentive or willing to take it on time. The staff looked like they were all in their own world, not paying much attention to the customers at all.
On top of that, they charged an extra 10% “service charge”, which came to ₹300 on our total bill, something that most other restaurants or cafes in Ahmedabad don’t even do.
Overall, I’d say the food was okay, but the service and behavior of the staff really ruined the dining experience. There are many better and more customer-friendly cafes and restaurants in Ahmedabad that serve tastier food and treat customers...

The desserts are another area of strength, with a good variety of sweet treats to choose from.Service at "Cha" can be inconsistent. While the staff is friendly and accommodating, there are instances where service can be slow or inattentive, affecting the overall dining experience. In terms of value, the restaurant's prices are on the higher side, which may not always match the quality of the food or service provided. Despite these shortcomings, "Cha" remains a decent option for those looking to try something new in Ahmedabad, with its stylish atmosphere and occasional...
