I stopped by Mewad Dalbati, a well-known spot near Commerce Six road Metro Station, to satisfy my dal bati cravings. Here's my take:

Pros:

Budget-friendly prices ( approx. ₹300 for two) Quick service Convenient location, easily accessible Abundant dal serving They crush the baatis, a nice touch!

Cons:

Seating arrangement is outside, which I didn't enjoy (shared seating) Bit Overhyped, in my opinion

This spot is popular among Gujarat University students and nearby colleges, making it a happening place. While it's not my favorite, it's worth a one-time visit if you're craving dal bati.

Recommendation: If you're in the area and looking for an affordable, quick dal bati fix, Mewad Dalbati is a decent option. However, don't expect an exceptional...

I visited Mewad Dalbati with high expectations, but it was quite disappointing. They may have the name “Mewad,” but they definitely don’t serve the authentic taste you’d expect. The dal bati lacked proper flavor and felt very ordinary.

The ambience was also not great — the outside seating could have been fine, but the lighting was poor and uncomfortable for diners. Overall, it didn’t feel like a good experience in terms of food or atmosphere.

I wouldn’t recommend this place for families or even friends. If you’re on a tight budget, it might seem like an okay spot, but honestly, there are far better...

Worst service I’ve ever experienced in my life! They don’t even serve properly on running tables, and when we complained to the owner, instead of solving the issue, the whole staff came forward to argue and fight. No one was ready to listen to the customer......maybe because the place is always crowded and they think they don’t need to care. Honestly, food taste is decent (8/10), but the service deserves a big -8/10. Totally disappointed.....Totally on you....Shunil is working their have no common...
