When a Chef is driven to experiment and reimagine a dish, and he is able to retain the key flavours amidst all the action, the result is a fertile food environment. A comfortable familiarity is important for me to enjoy my food. When I was invited to sample a variety of food from the revamped menu at the #GlassHouse, I was expecting just that. Handling such a vast menu cannot be easy but Chef Manoj Rawat has successfully accomplished what he had set out for.
Here is #WhatIAte:
Nashili Gosht Chaamp : Recreated with prime lamb chops, and flambéed in rum, is it a symphony of flavours and aromas or a medley of sheer indulgences? Doesn’t matter. It was delicious. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nawabi Chaandi Tikka : Murgh Malai Tikka, tastes like the usual..but the presentation is unique.... it does nearly warm your heart. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Soya Malai Kebab : Cream and dill weave it’s magic and makes it an endearing veg starter. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Khao Suey :What’s not to love here.. a deep and subtle broth where noodles curl under a mob of greens/onion/ a slice of hard boiled egg/ lemon for squeezing++ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Pizza Indiana : Great crust but average taste. So near but not quite there. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Mushroom Risotto : I have had better ones, so I can say that there is scope for improvement here. ⭐️⭐️
Whole, fried Fish with black bean sauce : it’s enduring appeal lies in its, umm... everything!!! 🔝
Desi Chicken Curry : The chef keeps it simple but pays attention to the details. Served on the table, in a cooker, it’s understated appeal is sensational. Highly recommend! 🔝
Shahi Makhani Paneer: I call dibs on traditional flavours as the glory of our land finds its perfect tribute in a well made Indian curry. This was outstanding. 🔝
Pind Wale Rajma: Can do better. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Mango Tart : Rich and delicious, it makes a pretty statement alright. A must try. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
New York Cheese Cake : Sophisticated, minus the pretense. But it weighs you down somewhat, especially after this large a meal. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Mithai Platter : The beetroot cashew burfi is what i had and it was lovely. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
And service? They do it very well, with grace and charm. All credit goes to Hillol, the ever smiling one that evening. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Chef Manoj Rawat is aiming for excellence and there is a inescapable pep in the air here, coupled with a will to grow and do better than they have ever done before. So I leave, pleasantly sated, and with a good taste in my mouth, literally as well as figuratively!

Read moreWe recently organized a Diwali lunch for our team of 18 at this restaurant, expecting a top-notch experience given its high reviews and the Hilton brand. Unfortunately, it was anything except this.
To start with, the food quality was well below expectations. The snacks were served cold, as though they had been prepared long before and left out. The beer was served in warm glasses, making it less enjoyable. Key dishes like the fish in black bean sauce were overcooked and burnt, while the chicken was undercooked. Even the desserts were disappointing – the gulab jamuns were cold, and the ice cream was half-melted by the time it reached us, Ras malai was in a double toned milk. Desert spoons were not there.
Service was equally poor. There seemed to be little coordination, and no effort was made to ensure basic dining standards were met. Our concerns were completely ignored, and there was no one available to address the issues during the meal. For a restaurant associated with a reputable brand like Hilton, this was truly unacceptable.
We will certainly not be returning for sure, and we do not recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality...
