Venue and Event: Oyo Townhouse sector-47 Basement Hall booked in Mid-June 2019 for afternoon party(12 PM - 4 PM). No. of Guests - 90
Review: We booked the Oyo Townhouse after thoroughly reading all the reviews. In one of the review by Shalini Puri, it was mentioned that A.C. didn't work and that ruined their party. So, I specifically confirmed from the OYO representative Mr.Nasir (referring the review), whether A.C. are working fine or not, and assurance was given that there is no issue from that perspective. On the day of event, all the guests were sweating, as only one or two A.C. cooling were working, and rest all failed to do. When we took this matter to Mr. Nasir ( please note we took the matter to him and not he to be actively checking), he responded that he would be calling technician to check. Just imagine the scenario, there was an on-going party, and he would call technician, that may come in an hour or so, and then he would physically check all a.c. in ongoing party. Anyways this was answer from his end to keep us waiting, and that technician never came (obviously). We asked him to place some more table fans(there were only two) which again were on the way(and never came).
Overall it was a hot event. It's my fault that I didn't took the negative review seriously. Decorators will try to invest minimum to save maximum. Location and parking is pro. Cold drinks were served hot.
I request Oyo team that please don't respond to my review mentioning that you apologise etc. etc.
I have already shared you the complaint last month over your mail-id and all the stake-holders involved in booking, for which there was no response. Just the review would be in public forum, I'm sure you would apologise now, which I want you to keep it...
Read moreGood hotel but lack in professional behaviour. They have a very big tower of yellow welcome drink, which they rarely offer. So i don't know whether it's frooti or rasna ;). I checked in for 4 days still wasn't offered. Their lifts are rarely working. I feel they close the power supply intermittently or do some tampering to save power. They don't check the rooms before providing, so if you are checking in better turn on and check all electrical appliances. Our room ac was not switching on, they changed our room. We had to pack the luggage and shifted to a room where TV wasn't working. They took next 40 mins to repair the TV. Order dinner here, sometimes they will provide onion and lemon alongwith and other times they will forget. Leave aside the word complimentary, they lack basic flexibility. Dinner ordered one night: dal makhni and rotis and raita, which he asked which raita I said mix veg raita. I received dal makhni and mix veg. I still showed courtesy and asked the reception ok u bring me the raita i ordered plus as you have already made mix veg serve me half and bill me for half to which the reply was bill to full hogi. Much to my chagrin, no shame for delaying the raita and till the time raita came half of...

We were given a room on the ground floor, next to the lobby. Rooms are not soundproof, so the staff's meeting becomes our radio.
Faulty AC in the room, is chilling the living hell out of us. We have an option of switching it on or off by getting out of bed every time we feel like doing so. This is after countless requests to change the remote.
We were offered an alternative room with water seepage on the wall. Heard one of the guys at reception saying... "seelan wala" room mat dena inhein.
Lights were faulty too so the first night, even after several requests to fix them, were spent in bright light penetrating through our eyes. Eventually we fixed it on our own. Thanks to the BTech degree we both have.
It took them a record time of 25minutes to serve us with drinking water. Basic service in the cheapest to the jazziest of hotels. One of us had to visit the reception and request for the same.
Loving the ambience. Probably the only thing that landed us here in the first place.
Too many staff members were put in for our service, which has been warm but laid...
