I recently had the pleasure of dining at Magadh and Awadh, and I must say, it was a truly exceptional experience. The restaurant's ambiance, service, and most importantly, the food, were all top-notch.
The moment I stepped in, I was transported to the rich cultural heritage of Magadh and Awadh, two regions known for their vibrant cuisine. The decor was warm and inviting, with intricate designs and colors that reflected the regions' unique blend of traditions.
The service was impeccable, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who were happy to guide me through the menu. And what a menu it was! With a vast array of dishes to choose from, I opted for the signature Magadhi and Awadhi specialties, which did not disappoint.
The food was a masterclass in flavors, textures, and presentation. Each dish was expertly crafted to showcase the regions' distinct spices, herbs, and cooking techniques. Standouts included the tender and aromatic Magadhi mutton curry and the rich, creamy Awadhi biryani.
Overall, Magadh and Awadh is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the authentic flavors of these two incredible regions. I left feeling satisfied, yet eager to return and explore more...
Read moreSo I came across this Fine Restaurant and being someone who has spent his life in Bihar & Jharkhand, this Restaurant grabbed my attention quickly.
Talking about the menu the names were quite familiar like Dhuska, Litti Chokha, Kathal ki Sabji, Ol ki sabji and so on.... The menu card was actually beautiful.
We ordered Litti Chokha, Dhuska, and Dal Pitha. Litti Chokha was really authentic and close to the ones we get at home. The platter consisted of 4pc Litti, Baigan ka bharta(roasted), tamatar ki chatni, and Ghoogni(IYKYK) I'll HIGHLY RECOMMEND having Litti Chokha.
Dal Pitha was nowhere near what I have had in my place. Also it was fried and coated with panch foran, it was served with baigan ka bharta. Dal filling was like that of Dal Paratha. Not that good.
Dhuska again was a disappointment, the ones you'll get in Ranchi are soft and layered. The ones here had a crispy coating (too crispy) and that's not how I had picturized Dhuska.
The overall ambience of the Restaurant was good, with Madhubani Paintings over the wall and decent bhojpuri songs. It was quite a...
Read moreAs the name suggests, the place boasts of cuisines from the Magadh and Awadh region of India primarily constituting the Bihar, Uttar Pradesh belt of cuisines right from the very famous Litti Chokha, to the Sattu Sharbat. The Litti Chokha was made in pure mustard oil and carried an authentic taste and fragrance. It was served with different chutneys to enhance the flavours. I also tried my hand at Sattu Sharbat. It was a different experience since I never had Sattu and it might be too new for someone who has actually never tasted it. Hara bhara Kabab was one sure item to look out for. We ordered Paneer Roll which carried different authentic tastes of the East and we loved it. Please do not forget to quench your thirst with ever freshening Chaas. All in all it was a new experience with the East but we need to acquire a taste for all the authenticity it carries. Service was up to the mark and the place was silent and had good ambience with light English and Hindi Bollywood music...
