Is marz ki dawa hai ek shandaar rocking Sufi night with GFF friends at studioXO 😁😁and uske upar zaikedaar khana toh sone pe suhaga jaisa hai, I think Salman Zaman gave me an evening to remember for many years till I hear a better Sufi performance. Their stamina and fervour was unlike anything I have seen before, sama baandh diya, they kept belting out numbers interspersed with beautiful Sher o shayari and kept all of us on our toes till the end.

The starters started coming onto the tables soon after but they were flying off into everyone's bellies as fast as we could take the pics. I had super soft pita with hummus, the cold gazpacho with ginger foam shots which had a nice touch of a small skewer with olive and toasted piece of bread. There were plenty of starters but I'll mention the ones that really caught my fancy. I loved the concept of the Nanza which is like a Naan based pizza and really savoured the mutton keema one, the zebra tortellini which came as an individual serving filled with wild mushroom and truffle was delectable. The katafi nested prawns were crunchalicious 😊 and the jackass tacos filled with a pulled jackfruit filling could compete with the best of Non veg starters. I was super excited to try out the millet encrusted fish when I had read it on the menu and it being the UN year of the millets, I was super happy to see and taste this bomb of a dish, the crunchy exterior with a soft and fleshy fish was just the perfect snack. The Gochujang on long skewers was the coolest looking starter surely 😊. The sunshine chicken dimsums had a very delicate flavour of lemongrass which elevated it to another level altogether. Chef Saby's menu was wonderfully executed by his team and savoured by us all I am so glad I finally could make it for a studioXO Sufi night. The food, the friends and the performance were all super se upar 👍... Pat your backs Pawan and Aradhana for being the perfect hosts and belting out another cracker of an event. Not a luxury bar from any perspective. It's just a swanky looking place that wraps mediocre service, fake elitism and unethical practices.

We booked Sagar Wali Qawali for 2 on 29 Oct via BookMyShow worth ₹2,200.They mentioned seats are FCFS basis. But what came as a rude shock to us was that the seats were so few in number to house even 30% of the ticket holders.

On top of that - the seats in blue-band seating arena was reserved for VIPs like the SHO of Gurgaon. Now if all citizens are equal - why do some get to reserve a seat while paying same amount of money? Shouldn't they reserve in 'VIP area'?

In short, if you want to witness the sense of entitlement and hypocrisy in hospitality - feel free to burn 2k and waste precious minutes of your life in this dud of a place called luxury bar!

They have separate areas as per entry fees that you pay. On BMS platform, I saw 2.2k worth of couple tickets only. You'd expect for such a price they'd at least give a complimentary drink or seating. Apparently you have to pay 30k for seating in prime areas!

Also, the staff is not trained in professional catering, typical goons on reception area that speak very ill of guests, the manager doesn't bother to answer your queries. He acts so entitled. The entry to lift lobby is littered with unkempt alleys and mosquitoes. No hygiene standards. The staff doesn't wear masks or gloves.

We decided to not waste another moment or penny there and walked out. Swapped this for Soda Bottleopener Wala and it was a paisa wasool - from the 90's hindi songs to Irani chais and Parsi food - with full course meal for 2 people all in 1,780 INR only!

Now, we are not the couple who look for budget deals - but an experience. Hospitality should treat you as guests - which I found lacking in spirit at Studio XO Bar. Why would you go to such a place where you are...
