The staff was absolutely pathetic in their behaviour. I usually don't bad-mouth brands and people over here (my profile would tell you that) , but these guys are an exception.
There was a situation, where the staff was at fault ( One Hundred Percent ) and they knew it.
After such an incident, a very normal hospitality employee/manager/owner would find or atleast try to find a real-time solution to the situation at hand, since everything in their business is experiential.
What actually happened was altogether the Opposite. They argued with us, for atleast 20 minutes, first a middle level employee and then a higher level employee, both, together.
Our night was ruined, already. A solution was nowhere in sight. We had paid 500/person for the entry. 300 was the regular price, where there was no seat guarantee and 500 was the premium ticket, which guaranteed you a seat.
We were still denied those seats. Even though as Responsible Consumers, We came in ahead of time 2 The show started late We selected the seats, 4 We were assured that a particular set of seats were booked for us, not by one employee, but by two of them, just to avoid confusion, you know. Yes, I am always in favour to give a benefit of doubt to employees at a Bar or a Cafe, since they are mostly over-burdened.
None of that mattered to the staff of this place. I would like to repeat. While the performance had already begun, we stood there for 20 minutes, arguing with the staff, fighting for the seats we had already paid for and physically reserved.
The night was ruined.
I have been to places, almost of every price range, from the bottom to the top, but nowhere, and I mean NOWHERE have I seen or experienced something even close. I would go on to call it Disgusting!
I shall give marks on certain traits :

Overall Result - 0/10.
The product no doubt is amazing. The Cocktails are amazing. I don't usually buy 800 Rupee Drinks amd keep buying them. But here I do or atleast I used to. The Live Event went on and it was wonderful. We sat on stairs and enjoyed.
After us being at the stairs for some time, we were asked there might be some poor seats available for us. But that isn't how it works, my friends. First you destroy our evening with the irrelevant and rude argument and after maybe 40 minutes , when we have become comfortable at a not so comfortable place, come tell us that you might be able to do something for us and stuff. Absolutely not how it's done.
Note for Management :
This should seriously be taken as a point to train your employees better, to make them know better, to handle situations better. Even in bad conditions. Although, ours was a situation :
Created by your employees Amplified by your employees Dragged by your employees

If you’re looking for an unforgettable night out in Gurgaon filled with great music, mouth-watering food, and a vibe that feels straight out of a jazz movie—The Piano Man is the place to be.
From the moment you step in, the ambiance hits you—warm lighting, intimate seating, and the kind of acoustics that make every performance feel personal. The interiors are beautifully done, combining vintage charm with a classy, artistic edge. It’s not just a restaurant or a bar—it’s an experience.
We went on a live music night, and the performers were nothing short of brilliant. The sound quality is top-notch, and it’s clear that The Piano Man takes its music seriously. Whether it’s jazz, soul, or indie—every note feels like it’s touching your soul.
Coming to the food—wow. The menu is creative and caters to a variety of tastes. We tried their signature flatbreads, the mushroom risotto, and the Korean-style chicken wings—all absolutely delicious. The cocktails are just as impressive; each one is crafted with care and has a unique twist.
The service deserves a special shout-out too. The staff was incredibly attentive, polite, and well-informed. They helped us with recommendations and ensured we had a seamless experience from start to finish.
What I personally loved most was the overall vibe—this place draws a crowd that genuinely appreciates good music, good food, and great conversation. It felt like a hidden gem where artists, music lovers, and foodies all come together.
Whether you’re on a date, out with friends, or even flying solo, The Piano Man is perfect for anyone who wants more than just a meal—it’s for those who crave an atmosphere.
Highly recommend booking in advance, especially on weekends or when there’s a live gig, because it gets packed—and for good reason!
Can’t wait to visit...
Read moreThe live music and the ambience of this place is top notch. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.
I would say, if you've something special to celebrate, this is a great place to do just that.
Coming to the food - it's okay. We ordered a dish with "stuffed mushrooms" and it was a thin fried crust with chunks of mushroom stuffed inside. Korean Grilled chicken and kimchi rice is, I would say, is forgettable (being fair). Veg Mac and cheese was a good try.
Cocktails: After the ambience, the next best thing here is the cocktail. Well prepared. Well tasting. Totally worth it.
Cost: Consider approx 1500 per head with drinks.
Now coming to the point which has taken the 1 star away. Couple of things
If you've to listen to live music, you've to pay INR 1000 at the entry. NO BILLS provided (what??). Not mentioned when called for reserving the table.
If you're enjoying your time between meals, you're often asked if anything is needed. I know this sounds like a positive, but the vibe it had, it felt like they want to make sure something keeps coming to your table.
All in all - a decent place to celebrate something special (which we had btw) but definitely has areas of improvement.
One more thing, once you're done, the exit is not the fire exit, but a black double door which is the camouflaged lift door. No clear signage present, and no one bothers to show it to you in the dark once you've made...
