Title: A Flavorful Delight of Chicken Biryani at Bawarchi, Hyderabad Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) Review: Bawarchi in Hyderabad is renowned for its delectable biryanis, and my recent visit to this iconic eatery left me completely impressed. Among their extensive menu, the chicken biryani is an absolute must-try, and it certainly lived up to its well-deserved reputation. As I entered Bawarchi, the inviting aroma of spices and fragrant rice immediately engulfed me, setting the stage for a memorable culinary experience. The restaurant's vibrant ambience and attentive staff further added to the overall appeal. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the chicken biryani. The moment the plate was placed before me, I was captivated by the vibrant colors and enticing presentation. The generous portion of basmati rice was perfectly cooked, each grain separate and aromatic. Nestled within were succulent pieces of chicken, marinated to perfection and infused with a symphony of spices. The biryani was a harmonious blend of flavors, with the spices complementing each other flawlessly. The chicken was tender and had absorbed the rich essence of the spices, resulting in a burst of flavors in every bite. The rice was beautifully infused with saffron, lending it an irresistible fragrance and a delightful yellow hue. One aspect that sets Bawarchi's chicken biryani apart is the balance of flavors. The spices were expertly layered, allowing each ingredient to shine while still maintaining an overall harmony. The dish had a subtle kick of heat, which added an exciting dimension without overpowering the palate. The accompaniments served alongside the biryani were equally delightful. The raita, with its cool and refreshing yogurt base, provided a soothing contrast to the vibrant spices. The aromatic mirchi ka salan, with its tangy and mildly spicy notes, complemented the biryani wonderfully. The service at Bawarchi was commendable, with the staff exhibiting warmth and professionalism throughout. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful suggestions, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. In conclusion, Bawarchi in Hyderabad offers a chicken biryani that is a true gastronomic delight. From the moment you take your first bite, you'll be transported to a realm of flavors that exemplify the rich heritage of Hyderabadi cuisine. Whether you're a biryani connoisseur or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, Bawarchi is the place to be. I highly recommend trying their chicken biryani and savoring the culinary magic that awaits you. Note: The review is based on a personal experience and reflects my genuine opinion of Bawarchi's chicken biryani in Hyderabad.

Visiting my favourite biriyani place after 20 years! Quite a bit has changed around the locale, and so has the restaurant itself. I see there is a new building opposite the older one - which is now the non aircon option and the other is the air-conditioned option. They do have signs all around the restaurant mentioning that this is the only outlet and they have no other outlets anywhere else. Was excited to try their signature dish after long and went about ordering. We just ordered 2 portions of chicken biriyani and a plate of chicken lollipop. They do mention that we should wait for 20 minutes for the biriyani to be served and true enough it took that much time. The 2 portions were quite a lot for 3 adults, but we thoroughly enjoyed stuffing ourselves with biriyani. The taste remains the same and has retained the same awesomeness as before, so full marks for that! The slightly oily texture of the biriyani is Bawarchi's trademark. The chicken isn't very tenderly cooked, but it definitely is not chewy or hard. Tried the lime soda and that was refreshing together with the biriyani. Service was also the same as before - lacklustre. But again, I won't complain as I just go there for the biriyani. They do have a separate takeaway outlet on the ground floor level. Finish this off with a paan at the little shop downstairs and you're in food heaven!

I remember when bawarchi was the go-to destination to have authentic hyderabadi biryani. I'd even take out my guests who came from other states here for them to try the cuisine. I can't even recommend this place right now and am myself trying to look for other places to find that delicious hyderabadi biryani the city is known for. I'll begin with this. In an entire bowl of biryani one orders, one will only be able to dig out a COUPLE of pieces of meat. Moreover, they aren't even proper meaty, but bony pieces of mutton. Like HELLO?! IM PAYING TO HAVE MUTTON BIRYANI WITH BARELY ANY MUTTON IN IT? Ridiculous. The taste of the once mouth watering biryani has become quite the opposite. It feels like you're having white rice, with barely any biryani flavor in it. We literally had to ask the waiters to mix in more masala because this was just not cutting it. Funnily, they told us we should've asked earlier. Wow. I don't know if this is the norm in restaurants nowadays or only in bawarchi, but the fact that you have to order onion salad and raitha separately with the briyani was like rubbing salt on the wound. Earlier, that wasn't the case. It isn't even the case with other restaurants I've had biryani from.

Had heard a lot about this one. That's why I made sure we visit this one first before all else. The famous " Bawarchi " restaurant. The original one with all the awards hanging in the reception and a huge board that reads, 'we have no branches'. As expected there was a huge crowd in front and we waited with our names on the long list. Surprisingly, due to their really efficient queue management, we were called in 15 minutes. This reminded me of our beloved "Rahmath" restaurant in Calicut. Anyways, the interior was awesome. Spacious, ambient lighting, clean tables and cutlery. All except the washroom was on point. Then came the menu.. and oh boy the non veg explosion left all of us drooling. Keeping our limits in mind (monetary and physical) we ordered hariyali kebab, sheekh kebab, butter chicken, hyderabadi chicken (highly recommend), chicken biriyani (much better than paradise) and some rotis. Phenomenal!! Everything tasted so good and were cheap by metro standards too. All those awards weren't for show for sure. It's a must visit for any foodies visiting Hyderabad. Make sure you go to the right place though. Look at the pictures for more info. See ya later!
