Decayed meat noticed in Chicken drumsticks (please cross check the freshness by smelling the bone area by moving the meat off) Went there with my family yesterday as Chaitanya's Kitchen was my favourite restaurant at Khajaguda, and the location is very nice with good car parking. Their butter chicken is very tasty and my wife loves that and chicken drumsticks are my son's favourite too.
But yesterday for the first time had a very bad experience having food there. We ordered chicken drumsticks as starters, then our usual favs butter chicken and rotis too. As soon as I started having chicken drumsticks, I noticed the foul/decayed smell coming from the bone area which is in contact with the meat. I called the waiter and pointed out the issue. He came , checked the meat and told that it is today's meat only and it's the dish's masala smell. But I am a regular customer who frequently takes this dish atleast once a week from their restaurant and I stay in a near by society. So they returned the item and brought a new plate of chicken drumsticks and told me to recheck the meat.
The first piece I checked smelled okayish so I agreed this is okay. But later noticed that few other pieces which came along with the plate were stinking as well but I didn't make that a big issue out there as it will certainly affect my family's good weekend outing mood and might affect their business too. So we wrapped up our food session and I decided to take this issue to the main reception desk's notice so that they could work on this issue next time. So I spotted a bearded guy sitting at the main billing desk. I went there and addressed the bad experience about this but he reacted with a don't care attitude and barely bothered face for the decayed meat served. All he said was, I will tell them.
I wouldn't have posted this google review if they properly acknowledged my feedback or considered that a serious issue to be taken care of, instead what I noticed was their pure ignorance.
As this is my first bad experience from them , I'm posting this as a review. Next time if decayed meat or stale items are served I would definitely not hesitate to contact the food safety authority directly and to check the meat quality...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible food experience! Unbelievably spicy! Why, oh why? Recently, I placed an order for Chinese dishes from this hotel, and it was an utter disappointment. It completely ruined my New Year's dinner at home, and I'm deeply regretful for spending so much money on this disastrous meal. Coming from Guntur, where we appreciate spicy food, this was on a whole other level. Every dish was excessively spicy, beyond any reasonable limit. It was so intense that every member of my family had to resort to Gelusil syrup, and our throats and chests felt the burn well into the next day.
Despite specifically instructing them to keep the spice levels low, they managed to turn everything into fiery dishes. Take the butter garlic fish, for example; it had an overwhelming amount of chili and hardly any garlic. Even the chicken Manchow soup was more about chili overload than chicken, and to make matters worse, they used dark green chilies. We ordered crispy corn for the children, and shockingly, they added green chilies to that too! It's like their mission is to torment people by drowning everything in chili.
It's evident that the chef lacks an understanding of the cuisines they're attempting to prepare. My advice? Don't waste your hard-earned money here. Find another place to dine, and you'll thank yourself later. I urge you to take a look at the photos and judge for yourself before considering dining here.
And finally, don't fall for the 4.1 ratings. I fell for it...
Read moreAmbience was decent and elegant with good lighting. Impressive one was handcrafted arts were placed there. And some paintings. Restaurant will be even suitable for larger numbers groups to gather.
We had starters Andhra Chicken Fry, Chilli Chicken, Chicken Majestic, Paneer majestic , Egg manchurian.
Andhra chicken fry didn’t satisfy. The piece was so hard felt it didn’t cooked well. And spicy was also normal. Chilli chicken was tasty it was semi gravy item. Piece was so soft and tasted good. Chicken Majestic and paneer majestic were same taste and the way they look. Felt good.
Coming to main course we had Special chicken Biryani, Chicken Dum biryani and ulavacharu biryani.
Biryani’s didn’t match the expectations. With prior information for double masala even though the dum was very less. Special biryani was ok until we eat with pieces or-else it feels like eating the plain rice. Chicken Dum Biryani was little bit better compared to another. Dum and chicken piece was good. Ulavacharu was good the dum and masala were good enough in this. Chicken quantity was also good enough.
Andhra chicken fry - 3.2/5 Chilli Chicken- 4.3/5 Chicken Majestic- 4/5 Egg Manchurian - 4.3/5 Special Chicken Biryani - 3/5 Chicken Dum Biryani - 3.5/5 Ulavacharu...
