Indian Cusine in Vogue . . . Farzi Cafe is a renowned place in many cities, it has always interested me to try it out. The first time I visited Farzi was in haste and couldn't try the delicacies with satisfaction. Upon my second visit to Farzi, I did try their astonishing food specially the items from their latest menu called the "Monsoon Menu". Farzi has the tradition of offering Amuse bouche to the guests and it comes with different flavours. I tried out the mango one. This is a french word and it means "mouth amuser", certainly getting the guests ready for the meal. *Moctails - Tried a bunch of Mocktails - Farzi ok, Peach Iced Tea, Irish smooch, Strawberry Lemonade , Litch Aampana and Date me. Amongst these loved the Strawberry Lemonade and Date me mocktails. *Small Palates Starters - The monsoon menu is inspired by the local telengana food and indeed has a "Farzi" touch to its indianess. Four Cheese Paniyaram, likewise the street side punugulu with a Farzi touch is definetly a try out. Paneer Chettinad Taco, was one such show stealer. The Chettinad panner filling between the crispy fried tacos went really well, served with jalapeno mayo. Totally recommend this. Galouti Kebab with airy Sheermal, being a mutton lover, I totally recommend this dish too. It is variably different to other Galoutis. And over the top chef would come to your table to glaze the Galouti with a tinch of castor sugar. The airy Sheermal was a delight to the eyes, yellow, fluffy and soft. The only thinh is felt a little off was the sweetness to a little higher end. The Sheermal being sweet along with a little sweet Galouti could actually reduce on some sweetness. Telengana Chicken Wings, these perfectly marinated chicken wings gave an outburst of flavours to the mouth. The only problem is that, they were a little messy to eat. *Pao or Bao - Haloumi and cream cheese burger, this delicacy will spellbound you with the heavenly taste. Not a fan of veg burgers but this thing made me say "Wow". Tawa Chicken liver, this tasted out of the world. But a few bites only made me full, its on a heavier side though.
*Mains - Egg Ghee Roast Dosa with podi dust This dish be my favourite because of the yummiest dosa I had. The egg roast totally had that ghee flavour and tasted beyond explanation. Totally recommend it. Asparagus and Bokchoy Biryani This rice thing was Okaish, can't really call it a biryani though. The only thing on the menu that didn't impress me was this.
*Desserts - Kulfi Faluda with Basil seeds It was too good to describe. Sweetness, taste, flavour all optimum. Most recommended
Gulab Jamum 2.0 The show stealer indeed. This dessert comes with a beautiful presentation of its making. The gulab jamuns are covered with Rabdi, saffron rabdi and nitrogen, and dry ice, sprinkled by pistachios and dry iced rose petals and Viola, Gulab Jamun 2.0 is ready. Its so beautiful that I starred it for a while before eating. . . . Farzi will never fail to put you in awe with their presentation and taste and an excellent service. Really appreciate the service of Akash for looking after our table. Service and hospitality is on point here. Monsoon menu is possibly a stealer. Most recommended. Go get Farzified!! Happy...
Read moreFarzi Café needs no prologue to individuals of Hyderabad. This spot has been a pioneer when it comes to enjoying some fusion food. Located ji in the core of the city, every Indian dish has been contorted either by its taste or the manner in which it is cooked and introduced.
I visited them over for their new menu launch and was truly happy with the manner in which things continued on. In the first place, I evaluated their Creamy marine Bisque. The broth had a lovely after taste to it and it was very comforting.
For canapés, Farzi bistro has launched a nw menu. My own picks would need to be their Tofu medu vada with curry leaf black powder, Yam Galouti with Ulta tawa parantha, Smoke pepper Chicken tikka and Karampodi baked pomfret.
The tofu was really delicate and had an exquisite covering to it. It was all around prepared with an exceptionally scrumptious curry leaf black powder.
Sweet potato Galouti with ulta tawa parantha was shockingly a fantastic dish. The exemplary Awadhi galouti was given a decent curve by setting it up utilizing Yam cuts. Highly recommended.
Smoke pepper Chicken tikka was something which really felt like an exemplary Chicken tikka to me. The dish was genuinely acceptable yet regularly found among different eateries thesedays.
Karampodi baked pomfret was an awesome dish. It was well marinated and cooked flawlessly. The great part is that it kept an extraordinary kind of karampodi and the flavor level was truly moderate for my sense of taste.
For mains, I was up for a treat. I started off with Sago Pongal and Ghee roast paneer. The Pongal had a flawless aroma and very amazing use of peppercorns. The dish worked pleasantly with Ghee roast paneer which was all around cooked.
Following up, the broccoli and lentil biryani with water chestnut raita can be considered as an incredible choice for vegetarians. Bite sized pieces of Broccoli mixed pleasantly with yellow lentil and rice. I some way or another felt that the water chestnut extent in the raita was somewhat less so I couldn't discover significant distinction in the raita.
The Andhra stew chicken was presented with thatte idli. Albeit the part size was incredible and the introduction of the dish was first class, a slight improvement could be made in the chicken by adding more green chillies. The surface of thatte idli was on point.
To end things on a sweet note, I had their De constructed filter kappi tiramisu and Caramel chocolate cheesecake. Their tiramisu was super creamy and the filer kappi reduction was spectacular. The cheesecake was also quite decent.
Overall, the service was smooth and the food really lived upto my expectations. Looking forward to visiting them soon....
Read moreThey say you eat with our eyes first. Well the food plating plays a major role, haven't you felt like eating something, just because it looks good. Now there are two kinds in this too, one in which food plating is soo well, but doesn't taste perfect, and the other in which food really tastes good but not visually pleasing. Farzi cafe is best in both the aspects. Visually Eye- pleasing, and perfect flavor for your taste buds. They have Indoor as well as Outdoor seating, we opted for outdoor seating surrounded by Greenery for Lunch.
Isn't it Summer already, So we started with some Cocktails and Mocktails, to compliment our Starters.. We ordered . Farzi Ok Litchi Panna Desire Strawberry Lemonade . And some cocktails from there BUNTA section.
Moving to the starters we ordered: .Peshwari Paneer Tikka .Guntur Chilli Chicken .Tempura Fried Prawn .Sarso olive Machchi .Four Cheese Chicken Tikka .Mac & Cheese Pakoda Bites . Of all these If perfection has other name then it would be Tempura Prawn, This was delicious and the presentation it top notch. Loved Guntur Chilli Chicken as it has perfect spice. Paneer was so soft and was really good.
After this they bought us Mango Juzz Juzz which explodes in our mouth, Some chemistry I guess and they tasted too good.
Tried their
.Galouti Burger ,roast tawa boti .College Canteen Masala Aalo Sandwich
Both were delicious and presentation was top-notch. Again the Galouti Burger was yum and mutton was so perfectly cooked, so succulent and is love. . Coming to the Main Course:
We tried .Mac |&| Cheese Kalimiri Panko Crumb .Penne Chicken Tikka Masala
.Shahi Haleem Risotto
.CTM- Chicken Tikka Masala with naan .Shanks Rogan Josh
Sorry to say but their Mac & Cheese and Penne were not upto mark. I felt it is a bit uncooked, yet again they didn't bill us for the penne as it was not Good.
Moving to the Haleem, Though its good, I felt something is missing or maybe not a perfect flavor to satisfy the taste buds.
But loved the Mutton rogan josh so much, Also the way they presented CTM. Do try their mutton rogan josh and you will not be disappointed.
Moving to the desserts we tried
.Flour less Chocolate Cake .Reinvented Malpua .Chocolate Dirt Pile
All these three desserts are delicious and a must try, Special mention to the reinvented Malpua, Its something you should experience visually, we can call it a show stopper I guess. Chef Kuldeep himself explained the ingredients and showed us how its, made. This is one true experience we get only at farzi...
